..I found this neat little interview on the Hitman by Ray Wheatley... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q-_OMWG0b5U :good
Wasn't sure what to expect from Jeff after the hard years he's done. But great to see he's looking good and sounding sharp. Top interview. Great to hear his first hand account of some of those memorable fights.
Has a boxer , absolutly no doubt about it , gutsy strong and has tough has they get with pit bull determination , has a mate probably a good bloke . But has a ambassador to the sport Naaw , seen him get paid to be a guest and get absolutly pissed and start insulting people not leaving a good impresion on people , makes me wonder what it is with our sportsmen , i've been at more than one boxing show and seen first hand Lester drunk and insulting people whilst looking at them with a come on answer me back if you dare look .
Having you brain knocked around for a living and then plying it with drugs seems to be a bad combination.
..too be fair mate..both guys you mentioned have had well documented substance issues..I think most people in society with these types of issues tend to carry on like dicks once they've had a few..:good
as i mentioned a while back i had beers with this guy when he was sober and although prickly at first he wasnt a bad guy, as he got drunk he told me stories but became a dickhead as he got drunker. Banned from just about every glebe pub.
With the amount of punishment Harding took during his career surely it would have to take some effect on him now mentally........those hits he took from the Andries fights alone were thunderous.
I believe he has taken a few hits in the pub as well. Plenty of tough guys out there with Hardings name on their street record.:yep
