Jeff Horn final sparring footage - LOOKING SLICK!

His defense is actually very, very good. It's just a bit unorthodox. He leans in too much, but he always keeps his head & body protected with his hands & arms. Kind of like Golovkin, in that he's willing to stay in the pocket in order to capitalize on any mistakes his opponent makes.

And his backwards movement is VERY good. He's hard to hit when on his bicycle. Also, his head slips are excellent, and he knows how to go "head limp" if he does get tagged, which lessens the impact.

Horn is one of those guys that is better than many fans think, because he doesn't do anything showy and his style is a bit odd, but he's a solid top-ten fighter.

Sadly for him, Bud is as elite as they come. And Bud has a 2" reach advantage, plus (I think) slightly faster hands.

 

- But his head pulled back. That's a common way to fight when you'r taller than your opponent. Your head is still protected, but it's easy to plant your back foot an fire a counter.

Count how many times Pac landed flush when Horn was backing up. You only need one hand. You olny need one FINGER.

Slightly? I'd say Bud has a significant edge in hand speed. Slightly more powerful as well, in a p4p sense (at least comparing 135/140 Crawford to 147/154 Horn), but Horn obviously punches harder due to size.

Lool that aint Bud tho. its all good looking 'slick' against a domestic level fighter like Ray robinson but how will he fair against a p4p king? Horn will bring it no doubt, long as he gives it his all he can hold his head high.

 

I genuinely think he is terrible.
