Let's say that his win against Pac was completely undeserved and he's just been handed a free meal ticket....

If the above is true, why are those claiming this also wanting him to fight Crawford?

yeah, but if you do it by FRAUDULENT means, you deserve to be criticized. It sounds like this guy is trying to emulate Wilder and just fight stiffs to hold on to a title. He will almost certainly be destroyed as soon as he fights a live body.

Beating Pac who was a top 5 P4P fighter in most peoples ratings isn't world championship level? His first defence was always going to be a step down after Manny knocked back the rematch apparently due to his new job but Corcoran was a top 10 rated fighter and a fairly standard choice for his 1st defence.I wouldn't say Crawfords level of opposition was anywhere near an even past his best Manny or much better then Corcoran.

 

Horn will fight Crawford next in the US for far less money than he would get for fighting Mundine in a non-title fight at 154 in Australia.

The people carrying on in this thread about him potentially taking an easier fight for more money won't give him any credit when he does.

I think he should take the fight that delivers the biggest payday then face Crawford.

That's not what will happen though.

 

I think some people seem to forget Horn was looking for a replacement opponent for his 1st defense because Manny knocked back the rematch so instead of waiting he looked at all the options and he fought a top 10 opponent in Corcoran.I would much rather see champions fighting and defending more then once a year which is sadly becoming the norm.I don't think the Wilder comparison is fair haven't been a big fan of Wilders level of opposition either but he never beat an ATG and at the time top P4P ranked like Pacquio and its only been 5 months since he won the title lets see this time next year what quality of opposition he has fought.

 

The Horn kid's not even the best welter in Oceania. He's nothing but a fake paper champ.

 

Horn will never live down the fact that he MONSTERED Pac, won the fight fair and square.

Generally I agree with everything you but I'm not sure how Horn falls in to that category considering he only just beat Pac 5 months ago and had a keep busy fight against a top 10 opponent because Manny knocked back the rematch .Its all just talk at this stage but if he fights Mundine in an easy bigger paying non title fight while waiting for the bigger fight with Pac or Crawford I dont think there's an issue.I think there is far more worse examples of what you are saying but if by this time next year Horn hasn't fought better opposition like Crawford and or the Pac rematch I will call him out on it like you a few others seem to have already.

It would be but TS is a big Mundine fan. I would be disappointed if Horn fought Mundine as a fan but can understand it from a financial perspective. TS goes off on a wild rant about Horn allegedly wanting to fight Paulie yet supports a guy who fought alcoholic Lester Ellis coming off a 6 year retirement who fought 30lb lighter in his previous fight.
