If Mikey stays at welterweight I think this would be a great fight and just because Crawford schooled him doesn't mean Mikey will. Mikey could have a rough night like pacquiao, especially if he can't hurt horn and it seems at 140-147 Mikey's stamina not that great.
The Pacquiao fight was the last time Horn was able to safely make 147. You can tell that he was badly drained in the Crawford fight.
No, it wouldn't. Horn is far too big for Mikey. Learn the lesson from saturday, Spence was too big and Horn's even bigger. Horn will chase Mikey, manhandle him onto the ropes and put him to sleep. And it doesn't matter what people say...Horn must be good. Because at the end of the day there's a result on his record that connects the letter W with the last name Pacquiao. Pacquiao can be 100000 years old for all I care, it's still pacquiao and therefore it's a good win that shows Horn is at least a world level fighter. Horn by KO, somewhere in the mid rounds.
Mikey is no Roberto Duran he needs to go back down in weight! Duran was able to move up and contend with middleweights! Mikey isn't a bad fighter but the man once had a title at featherweight, you can look at his frame and see he is not a big enough man for that weight. Shouldn't fight anyone at 147 in my view
Didn't we just see what happen when mikey faced someone MUCH bigger than he is? Horn's not as skillful as spence but damn he look liked a 154-160 fighter.
It depends on where the fight takes place. In Australia where Horn can foul all night he’d beat Mikey, but anywhere else Mikey would outbox Horn and maybe even stop him.
I don't think highly of Jeff Horn at all but I'm thinking it would be a damn near even war. Horn's tactics even had Pac (albeit an old Pac), looking off. I still thought Pac won but it was ugly. Mikey's skill set would get put through the ringer. I could see a SD win for either. Mikey has reached his size limitations.
