How is following the rules about 154 lb'ers wearing 10oz gloves "An advantage" for Cotto? Just because it's not an advantage for Pacquiao?

    Seriously, you *******s are ****ed.

I actually said this last year (found an old post of mine post#25 ).. minus the weight drained bit, he wasn't weight-drained. The difference would be he'd have all these advantages..won't happen though. Cotto has lost his title, and Pac gains nothing beating him again at 154. Cotto is not picking the weight, gloves, ring size for a rematch, he'll be lucky if he gets one.

Styles don't always make fights. Put Manny in with Andre Ward and if he beats him, we'll talk...

is Jeff saying Pac fought a 154 pounder at 145? Ignoring that Cotto is still a fattened up welterweight? And was a welterweight titleholder when Pac fought him?
If you want to try and play up weight differentials, Pac fought Marg as a welterweight and Marg was a super MW.

There was more of a chance Pacquiao was bloated having to carry an extra 6lbs than Cotto was weight-drained having to lose 1lb from the weight he usually fought at. Had Cotto won, he'd have dragged up a blown-up LW. The winner always gets hated on, the loser gets to have excuses made up for them in this day and age of internet fanboyism

It would be different because Cotto would have taken his punches better, maybe still would have lost but it was also he fought the wrong fight that night..

Seriously dude? just stop. Pac doesn't get bloated at any weigh in. He steps on the scale after lunch with a smile on his face because he walks around at or under the WW limit during training camp. It's really not that hard of a concept. Floyd does the same thing. They might eat a liiiitle less or not drink water after dinner the night before the weigh in but there's no bloat involved. Should Pac be maximizing his resources and size by fighting at 140? probably. But he isn't at any sort of weight disadvantage physically by fighting at welter. He's not bloated, he's not overfed. He trains, he weighs in, he fights.

This site has turned into a place with all these ***gots whine and ***** about Pac. How pathetic. Just because Mayweather made a past prime Cotto look prime again, doesn't mean Pac would do the same. Pac would still be too fast and will still cut up Cotto's face. Now you guys go ahead and get back to living in Mayweather's ass.

You're essentially saying Cotto whoops Pac the more handicaps you place on the guy. Yeah bigger weight disparity, bigger gloves. Let's say Cotto does win in a rematch, is it ok to nitpick Cotto's victory the way yall do with Pac's? Can I say, Cotto's win don't mean **** because he dragged Pac up and forced him to wear pillow gloves? You can't have it both ways.

Taken his punches better? Not so sure about that, Mayweather was able to wobble him don't forget. This weight-drained garbage is a **** poor excuse. Only time Cotto ever looked weight-drained was at 140 where his chin looked very shaky in numerous fights vs various levels of opposition which led critics to question his chin back then.

Didn't say he was, just that there was more of a chance he was than Cotto was weight-drained. Had he lost to Cotto that's what the excuse would've been (Marquez vs Mayweather=bloated, Marquez vs Pac=best shape of his life). he was fighting at his highest weight and training down/up to 6lbs more than his previous fight having spent his entire career, bar a few fights, 15lbs below the weight. Whereas Cotto trained down to 1lb less than what he had been cutting down to for a few years. I'm just thinking of the haters
