Yeah, I'd agree with that assessment. :good

PS. I know you're probably not at liberty to say but which one of you swines banned me? I was clearly only joking (well it should've been abundantly clear to anyone with a working brain) around yet I received a two week ban for it? Two effing bloody weeks?! :fire

I don't expect you to answer by the way and I don't think it was you who was waving the ban hammer about.

Wink and lacy were both training with Dan birmingham......who won a trainer of the year award at one point.....I met jeff ringside at the winky/Sam soliman fight....I can't remember exactly how long before he fought Calzaghe it was ....but I know that fight was already signed.....he posed for a pic of me and seemed like a real nice guy that was as happy as could be.....things really went downhill.....I remember him walking into the arena with a pretty girl that night o the Calzaghe fight....with James prince hollering this and that.......pretty sure he felt abandoned after that stuff.....then it was his brother ......just stinks.....seemed like a real happy kid when I met him

Yeah, he does seem like a good guy. That's what makes it all the worse.

He did feel abandoned after all of that and it clearly has had a huge effect on him.

The thing with his brother certainly can't have helped matters.

Just shows your lack of knowledge and/or biasm against Calzaghe. He beat Eubank and Reid before Lacy both great wins. He edged out Reid and Hopkins he clearly beat a prime Kessler let's get it straight. The Lacy performance was a master class that ruined a 287-16 amatuer record Olympian and an undeafeted pro world champion who had destroyed Robin Reid.

What exactly was the point of that rant? Was Eubank in his prime when he fought Calzaghe?

Kessler > Lacy, are you arguing with that? I'm not really clear exactly what you think you're saying here.

*******s. Again Lacy post Calzaghe took Taylor 12 and nicked a few rounds had an unscored knock down. Taylor was at least on Wright's level and this was a post Calzaghe, post shoulder injury Lacy.

I doubt you have ever boxed but getting up for training's hard after takong a beating like that, I have seen several amateurs quit after getting a bad battering over 3. Obviously Lacy didn't because in the pro game there's money but he was never the same again.

Basically A) Calzaghe didn't just edge Kessler he clearly beat him B) Calzaghe had great wins over half a dozen champions before Lacy it was a master class C) Lacy wasn't just a heap of **** like you, who has most likely never been in a boxing gym, is trying to make out D) Eubank was still a solid, solid win and a classic performamce Reid is one of the top 25 giys ever at that weight for me.

PS came on this forum for years folks one thing I can say is that I can't prove who does the blocking, but I do know before IB was a mod you could get away with murder now if a subject certain mods don't like is brought up even if it's completely above board and boxing related you can expect to be blocked every now n then for that. I know I have been banned for some shambolic reasons the past 12 month.

I got the names mixed up meant to say Lacy took Taylor 12 and yes he did. What have you seen to suggest Lacy could not have given Wright a good fight. Winly nearly lost to Sam Soliman, yes very different style and I rated Wright highly but no way he did what Calzaghe did to a peak Lacy.

He didn'g have the punch out put to dominate a guy that size so easily.

You tell me how Wright's so much better than Taylor who couldn't shut out a post injury/Calzaghe Lacy.

Yeah, they used to spar regularly. Lacy, Wright and Tarver were all part of that Florida scene back then. Lacy and Tarver were actually lined up to fight each other back then IIRC. I think they were lined up to face each other a couple of times but it never materialized.
