Jeff Lacy is and always was an overhyped and highly mediocre boxer.

    He has just been DOMINATED by a middleweight who couldn't beat Kelly Pavlik in 2 attempts.

    He was nothing short of PATHETIC in his biggest fight, offering absolutely zero resistance to Joe Calzaghe.

    And when you look through the rest of his resume, we see a points win over Peter Manfredo (who Sakio Bika blitzed in 3 rounds), a couple of wins over ok opposition like Reid, Vanderpool and Sheika, and nothing else of note.


    The guy got a lot of publicity and hype purely because he was American and he had a bit of power - two things guaranteed to give you a good reputation with the American press. However, this should not be used to pretend that Lacy was ever anything other than a highly mediocre boxer. The evidence is clear.

    I predicted Taylor to TKO Lacy in 5th. I must say though that for all his faults Lacy is one tough SOB.

    He's pretty **** at boxing though. I predicted a Taylor dominant UD. Sweet sweet vindication.

    Yea, but how does that help you from stop being a ****? ... Jeff is not a good fighter, as most should've known from his early goes but he can stand there and try. He's not that fast and he's got **** defence, but to call him mediocre may be alittle far out. Jermain Taylor is the Ex-Middleweight Champion, he's got a jab like no other and has a lot of talent. Lacy wasn't meant to win this fight, but at least he knocked Bad Intentions down. Against mediocre fighters I take Jeff all the way.

Whatthe!#$!#isdatabout? lol...Just keep it real lol...In the OP's mind that means, Pac is pfp best, and now you know why...as if that logic applies lol. Good post T. Both fighters last night looked like bums. I can't believe that they would even mention Taylor as an opponent for Calzaghe lol. If Cal takes a fight with Taylor or Froch, he will have ruined his legacy lol. Cal should take the Dawson fight and retire.

    Yeah there are faults in Taylors game plan.

    He Cocks the right hand like there is no tomorrow and walks straight back.

    That being said he still owns your danish boy.

    I realize now I shouldn't have put 'Pac-' in my username, I only did it as I think he is a great fighter to watch. Before I had got to know what this forum was like, I thought that was a good idea. Now I know better, as it means that the thick, dumbass, moronic posters like you now respond to absolutely anything I say by talking about Manny Pacquiao even when the thread and the topic at hand have nothing to do with him whatsoever.
