So do I - he did seem like a genuinely nice/classy guy. A rarity in modern sports.

I've always been a Taylor fan and there was even more reason to like him after the Pavlik fights. Can't ever question his heart. He gets KO'd and immediately steps up like a man.

Hope Taylor puts him away but he'll look good in a 12 round fight.

It's just time for Taylor to get back into the mix at 168. I wouldn't be surprized to see Kessler-Taylor down the road in 2009 !

I think Lacy will take a pretty thorough beating but won't get knocked out. He's got a granite beard. Let's not count Taylor's lack of focus and tendancy through himself out early out of the equation either. Lacy has power and we all no Taylor can be stopped....but I still see Taylor winnind by a wide UD.

Hopefully the Taylor that turned up for the Pavlik rematch turns up to fight Lacy. If so, Taylor wins wide UD, Lacy is "never the same" all over again.

What evidence has Lacy given in the past two and a half years that he can beat any opponent of a higher class than a decent club fighter :think

Not a right lot IMO - his shoulder injury and Joe Calzaghe have totally wrecked him, Taylor will do the same :deal

Then it will be :hi: :hi: Mr Lacy :hat

I would not be at all surprised if you are correct. Without the power of HBO, Taylor would not have the "wins" he has on his record over top level fighters. :nod

Lots of interesting comments here. But Lacy's never been KTFO out. He's shown great ability in being able to take alot of punishment. Where Jermain Taylor has been KTFO.

How many time has Taylor been hurt in a fight? Twice with Pavlik, and once with Hopkins. How many times has Taylor been in a fight with someone who can punch? Twice with Pavlik and twice with Hopkins. I don't see how people can just write off Lacy so easily for this fight...

Further more, everyone says Lacy has looked horrible in his last four fights (Tyspko-Mendoza), but does anyone know what Taylor's been up to lately? Last I heard he's bloated up past 200lbs and lost his motivation to fight. He's cashing out and this fight is easy to figure out.

    Lacy by KO.
