How many fights does Diaz have left with his Strikeforce contract?

Tend to agree, Lacy just lost to a 23-19-7 Dhafir Smith by a pretty wide decision. I can't think of the last time he actually hurt someone or the last time he went through a fight without getting hurt, or even get through a fight where his opponent just simply couldn't avoid landing clean punches on him almost at will for long stretches.

most boxers would destroy an mma guy in the ring as most mma guys would destroy a boxer in the cage.

    In the street, who knows.

In his prime, I would take mike tyson over any HW in a street fight. the mma guy would shoot and would get countered and Ko'd instantly.

The HW's are slower than the lighter weights so takedowns are not as easy.

This fight will resemble Calzaghe/Lacy. Nick takes this feather fisted hype job to school.

    War Stockton!

Says it looks like its happening but doesnt give a weight class or how many rounds

Thing is Lacy doesnt really have stamina problems and only was stopped recently by Jones. If this is a 10-12 round fight, I think Diaz is ****ed, he doesnt have any experience with that type of pro fight at that length. Lacy's timing and speed is **** and he cant pull the trigger, but Diaz aint going to have the stamina and defense necessary to compete with a former olympian.

I mean yeah Lacy has lost to some bums lately but the question is would some MMA guy even have been able to beat those bums in 10-12 round pro boxing matches? highly doubtful.

I'm pretty sure this fight won't happen, I bet Dana will put Diaz against GSP next for the UFC ww title.

Even as a huge mma fan, I see this : Diaz will get his ass kicked. It's as simple as that, his boxing is mma oriented, in the real boxing world, it's worth nothing.

Even a shot to **** Lacy should be able to put this trash to bed quite easily.

The fight has been made, but a fight with GSP could cancel it.

Lacey will pound the **** out of Nick Diaz, and it won't be close at all. Diaz will surprise me if he can hold enough without getting disqualified, and makes it of the first couple rounds.

Maurice Smith was a world class kickboxer that learned how to grapple so he could compete in mma. Smith picked up quite a bit of grappling knowledge. How many people would have given Smith a chance against a former world class bjj competitor, in a pure grappling match, after defeating Mark Coleman? The answer should be none. Grappling is just an aspect of mma. Smith was able to win with his striking after being able to survive the grappling battle.

Boxing is merely an aspect of mma, and under many circumstances, the least important. Anyway, Diaz has better hands than a lot of mma guys. That doesn't mean he can trade punches with a guy on a world class level.
