Jeff Lacy vs Kelly Pavlik

Pavlik would definatly win now, probably stop him also

Even in his supossed 'prime' which never really amounted to much Lacy wouldn't have a good chance of beating Pavlik

 

if they were to fight now, i think pavlik murders lacy

 

Lacy was never that good. Full stop!

He is probably the worst recent example of an overhyped American fighter. I can think of a fair few at 168/175 who would school Lacy, though few (if any) could have done it as Joe Calzaghe did.

 

Pavlik beat any version of Lacy. End of story........

 

Yea i can't believe some people still rate that guy so highly. He never proved anything or beated any top 10 fighter so whats the point of even comparing him to Pavlik?

Im wondering if you're not just doing this thread to hate on Lacy...

 

Lacy beats Pavlik . Both fighters styles is base on power punching and moving forward, but Lacy is the bigger man ,the bigger puncher ,and had the better chin, if those two swop punches you have to go with Lacy coming out on top.

Well, penguins don't fly. Turkey's, chickens, ostriches either.
But Lacy will never beat Pavlik, even in my craziest and unrealistc dreams.

 

Lacy has a good chin and probably would stand tall against Pavlik. This is a tough fight to judge.

I can see Pavlik outpointing him and I can also see Lacy (current) knocking Pavlik out.

My final decision would be Lacy by late rounds KO. Pavlik is tailor made for Lacy. Pavlik's not an in and out boxer and if he's just coming straight forward that would make it easy for Lacy to drop bombs.

 

A right hand bomb from Lacy would crush Pavlik's questionable chin. He got rocked by fighters that didn't posess the same kind of one punch power that Lacy has.

 

Oh no its the dreaded smily faces comeback , proving me wrong with out saying anything ..

Really you guys are going to far with Pavlik , the guys good but not good enough to beat anyone at 168 in my opinion and Lacy is not that bad even after losing to Joe, and Pavlik is no Joe.

Suprised people are picking Lacy, maybe pre Joe fight he would have had a much better chance, but not now. If he struggled against Manfredo, then i don't see he could do anything to beat Pavlik. Pavlik is MUCH better than Manfredo and hits twice as hard.

 

Exactly !! Pavlik is no Joe . Joe boxes, move uses angles and throws lots of punches. Pavlik Moves forward and throws lots of punches , and so does Lacy.

in situation like this usually the bigger man wins.
