he beats green, and froch. i want to think he could beat AA because he's so inactive and the pressure lacy would put on but i wouldn't put money on it. ward has too much skills and smarts and direll has too much speed and lacy would not catch up to him.

As far as I remember, Lacy and Kessler both fought JC and there seemed to be a certain difference in their skill level evident in these fights...

wtf are you talking about, Kessler gave JC a competitve fight, JC won because of his extre ability to adjust. JC could come stright out of drug rehab without training and slap Lacy silly.

Green would be the only one i pick Lacy to beat! But only if Green was his first fight! i think Lacy would simply quit after the first loss he got

A Prime Jeff Lacy knocks Allan Green out. Allan Green does not belong at this level. He kinda bamboozled everyone (except me) into thinking he's a top fighter & conned his way into 2 guaranteed paydays. A Prime Lacy beats average guys he's suppose to beat. They're all interesting fights. Lacy was a good fighter. It's unfortunate he's dismissed as a bum who wouldnt be competitive with these guys.

At this stage in his career Lacy was a big punching well hyped fighter being given alot of acclaim, who many thought would become the top man at SMW, given the aggression Lacy used to bring into his fights, and his power, I would expect he would do well

    Lacy wins KO Dirrell
Lacy loses to Ward by 116 - 114 close fight or Lacy by landing the lucky punch
    Lacy MD over Froch
    Lacy KOs A Green
Lacy due to styles loses to AA close decision
If this is Lacy pre Calzaghe then Kessler pre Calzaghe wins by wide UD or KO, if it is Kessler of today against pre Calzaghe Lacy, Kessler by SD

    Lacy MD Froch

    why not SD or UD?

And why would Ward who won every round against Kessler and Green, lose rounds to Lacy?

Also how the hell do you get a 116-114 fight

    I understand a 114-114 or a 116-112, but a 116-114 thats some rare ****

    10-10 rounds.

On a side note, why do people predict UDs MDs, or SDs for fights? Why not just give the margin of victory that you expect instead of speculating on whether or not the judges will agree about the fight? It's always bugged me for some reason.

0-6. I remember watching him on ESPN struggle with Richard Grant. I knew then the guy wasn't much of a boxer. Grant ran scared because of Lacy's reputation, but still boxed him pretty good. I remember thinking if he'd just settle down, he'd beat this guy. I was actually hoping he'd do that because you could already see the hype machine being built up and you just knew he wasn't that good to warrant it.

Yeah, it is. Lacy turned out to be not that great of a fighter. He's certainly not the only person in the fight game who's ever failed to live up to expectations. Frankly, I don't think that it speaks very well of Calzaghe's legacy that his fans have to constantly harp about what people predicted that Lacy would do instead of what he actually accomplished when discussing Joe's resume.

For the record, I picked Calzaghe in a walk.
