He was supposed to have a comeback fight at the end of the year, but it's been scrapped several times. Reportedly he's back in the gym and feeling okay though. His type of injury takes a long time to heal from properly, and he'll never have a full range of motion in his arm again; fortunately, boxing doesn't require one to throw overhand, so he should be fine, as long as he gets his confidence back. Still, he beat Tsypko (who's a credible opponent) one-handed, so the stories of his demise have probably been greatly exaggerated.
I thought Tsypko actually won that fight, but Jeff showed his heart just by being able to compete. He did look very good prior to the injury.
lacys injury is the same one vitali had which seen him back into the ring maybe 7 monthes later ... so either vitali was a lieing douche and quit because byrd was getting to him .. or lacy is lieing and not fighting because hes lost his way
I'm a Lacy fan as well, but I thought he got some empathy scoring from the judges, probably based on the beating he took against Calzaghe. Not a robbery, but a suspect decision. But all credit to a warrior like Jeff for not quitting.
It was a close fight but a clear win for Tsypko in my opinion, the sympathy part could be true but still not fair for Tsypko, if it was a draw then "fine" but not a loss. All credit to Jeff indeed, he was hurt against Tsypko but still kept coming till the very end.
I had it 95-95...anyways, Lacy will probably be back this year and be beaten when he steps it up to a top 10 opponent in my opinion. I'm not sure he will ever be the same fighter with the same confidence he once had.
The confidence is clearly gone, doesn't need anymore evidence to prove that. Amsterdamn told me that Lacy also admitted in an interview that he had problems sparring because he would get flashes of Joe Calzaghe during his sessions, that's enough proof from Lacy his self that he's damaged mentally and physically.
Blockhead, would you like some evidence? Sorry, I don't provide evidence to dirty ****bags who seek to constantly insult others. I can't wait until you're removed.
