I just wanted to know what you guys thought about jeff lacy's chin is it any good? or has it not been properly tested?
I think its safe to say its been tested. Looks very solid to me, if you havn't got any defence or head movement of course you will get buzzed at world class level.
There is no question about his chin - it is granite - the Calzaghe fight proves this without a shadow of a doubt. I just don't think he has the intelligence - in and out of the ring - to supplement his granite chin. If he did - he wouldn't have got walloped of Calzaghe. Do you know what he should have been protected by Gary Shaw a bit more - he could have learned a few more things and added attributes to his arsenal.
Its not granite. He was knocked down by Calzaghe and Calzaghe is not a huge puncher. Taylor wobbled him and had him in trouble.
That uppercut Taylor landed on him put the Roy uppercut to shame. That was a hard shot that landed as flush as you could possibly land.
even though joe is not the hardest puncher around lol, lacy was getting walloped by an incredible amount of punches, without head movement they were landing flush, i rate his chin very highly even now, as he faced taylor and i think taylor has very god power a little more now at super middle What that leads me to another question, can lacy knock anyone out at top world level?
Just because he got knocked down doesn't make his chin weak. Calzaghe hit him with about 1100 punches and he finished the fight on his feet. Taylor hit him with some nice solid shots that wobbled him and still couldn't put him away. The dude has a solid chin.
