Guerrero looked limited against BERTO. That's why this matchup would not be appealing, but stomachable if he fights Alvarez in September
Guerrero would be exposed badly by Floyd. Not saying he would be knocked out, but I think it would be a boxing lesson. There are way too many holes in Guerrero's defense, he is way too easy to hit. I see him winning maybe a round or 2, and taking a beating.
I stopped listening to this guy's BULL**** after he says, "it wasn't nothing Guerrerro did", THEN he says, "don't get mw wrong, Guerrerro fought awesome", so what the FK is he mumbling about? He needs to get that fake-ass Cabalerro a fighter he can beat and stop ducking folks.
Swarming him would be the only chance Guerrero has. He sure as hell isn't going to outbox Floyd from the outside. I honestly think this will be the easiest fight Floyd has had in years, if he takes it. Guerrero has absolutely nothing in his arsenal that could give Floyd trouble.
People seriously underrate Guerrero's chin and power, really. The two best things he has going for him in this fight, along with natural height.
Floyd has reportedly narrowed his choice for his next opponent down to either Robert Guerrero or Canelo Alvarez. My guess is he will definitely fight Guerrero. Guerrero is a smaller opponent who has fought most of his career between 126 and 135 lbs. In his last 2 fights, he has come up to 147. He's heading toward the twilight of his career, and is a name Floyd can add to his resume. Canelo is a young, hungry fighter with good technical skills, power and works the body well. He's fought most of his career between 147 and 154 and is a true jr middleweight. Floyd will definitely take the easy out here and dominate Guerrero in a easy 12 rd UD.... IMO. The later Floyd has gotten in his career, the more he has tried to protect his undefeated record. I think the Cotto fight may have scared him a bit.... in the fact that Cotto won some rounds and was decently competitive. I believe Floyd will fight 2 or 3 more fights that he is sure he'll win (ie smaller, slower, shop-worn opponents like Guerrero) and not put his record on the line against an opponent that can actually beat him like Alvarez.
