Why can't it be Floyd Sr. instead. The whole family should be exterminated.

Who the hell else has the money to pay for housing, food, equipment, and high level sparring partners in a brand new PRIVATE gym for a grown +200 lbs man/men for weeks? Very successful businessmen and gangsters. Not even the damned Wild Card gym is 100% private.

Probably like most activities that are "hot" and look, from the outside, like they are making tons of bucks, a "street" element is looking for a way to be involved. A street element looking for a way to turn "dirty" money into "clean" money. Boxing has a structure that could probably make that happen.

Problem is that at the end of the day... A gangster is going to be a gangster. Your private gym has just become a convenient meeting place with a cover. A pro like Jeff was probably like, "Whoa, I really am about boxing. I am out of here."

I guarantee they find a link between the man that threatened jeff and that same man having sat through the Klit/Ibragamov fight, just a hunch......

Those of you who choose to lampoon Jeff or anything regarding this situation are out of line, if you ask me. I've personally met and trained with Jeff last summer in Vegas when I went there with my Dad as a 21st birthday present. He was a guest "On The Ropes" on episode 20, I believe, and has been on at least twice since then (I can't remember if he has appeared more than three total times). I've kept in contact with him since, and he is one of the nicest, most genuine people I've ever had the pleasure of speaking to.

When I told him I was coming to Vegas, he told me to let him know the dates so I could come meet him at the gym and train. He's a great guy with a big heart, and most anyone who's met him in the world of boxing will tell you the same. I understand that the boxing fans are upset over failed negotiations of Mayweather-Pacquiao, but to assert jokes about this situation into what seems to be a very real and sincere personal problem for Jeff is just gratuitous.

Have some respect for a member of the boxing community, especially one who shows mutual respect to others.

i wont really clarify too much on what jeff said, as it obviously is not my place to do so. i will tell you that what he was referring to had absolutely nothing to do with any fight negotiations with pac/floyd or anything involving the boxing business at all other than the people involved belonging to the boxing community. what ya boy next said was true. jeff is a really good guy and what he was talking about was referring to some pretty crappy stuff that was happening to a person jeff is very close to (who he mentioned in the article).

it is easy to giggle and laugh when you dont know the reason for what was said, or think it was being overblown. but all i will say is that jeff was standing up for a very wonderful person who he cares a lot for (as do i). i dont know the guys at hit factory or pretend to know what was said between them and jeff. what i will say is that jeff completely believes everything he said and he would do whatever it takes to protect people he feels need his help. props to him for taking the stance he did

Very true, the family is basiacally nuts. One uncle, or his father, maybe Roger? back in 1980's, shot up gym with gun, kept shooting at Jesse Reid and others who would not let him in. He shot at them through mail opening in door. Never did time for it. His excuse: "They would not let him in."
