I believe most species of penguin also have life partners, I wonder if these animals cheat, how aware they are if they do and if the partner sees them does it get jealous. I wonder if the cheated animal will kill the cheater or its new lover, do the other animals consider it a crime of passion....

I feel a Hollyoaks/David Attenborough documentary mash up is in order.

 

People would just find something else to fight over. It's dumbasses that get brainwashed into believing they're fighting for their religion, whereas the people pulling the strings couldn't give a **** about that stuff. They just use it to brainwash the masses. If it wasn't religion, people would be fighting over something else, like skin colour, caste, social class, tribe, nationality, etc. Hill, you have kids shooting each other up over the neighbourhood they live in.

Personally, I believe the bible to be a work of fiction the same way as the Greek classics like the Odyssey or the Illiad, or even Harry Potter. That doesn't mean it's all bad though, because people can still take inspiration, and good life lessons from the bible, the same way they can with other books. The difference is, people don't literally believe in Zeus and Athena anymore, but there are still many people taking the bible literally. I don't know why that is, but it's their belief.

Most of the differences between religions is just superficial stuff anyway that doesn't matter. I've read parts of the Bible, and being an AZN I'm most familiar with the Indian religions. To me it seemed like Jesus was saying the same thing as Buddha, pretty much.

To be honest these days I don't have much time for religions. I'm too busy trying to make money, get laid, etc, but at the same time I think that religion should go hand in hand with this. Why should it have to be one or the other? If I did try to become more in touch with my spirituality I would go back to Buddhism and also the pagan religions of the west, such as Wicca. Doesn't mean they're better, just that I feel more natural with them. Like a boxer chosing to fight a certain way, like being a counter puncher.


I think flea is right on his views on the world. It may sound negative but I believe he's just being truthful instead of looking away. This world really is mostly a horrible place. Only a tiny percentage of people on earth are really living anyway. The rest are just surviving. Even people in the west who are supposed to have it so much better than the rest of the world. Slogging away all week just to keep a roof over their head, like ****ing zombies, dead inside. Nice 2 week holiday each year but the rest of the year they're miserable.Like I always say, it could be worse, but it could be so much better.
