That's just too sweeping a statement to be true, Rob. You'd need to prove that point, not ask others to disprove it.

  3. Depends what you mean by ''heavily''.

Drugs, used to love them, only social, took lsd in the 80s, ****ing horrible stuff, once having a **** in a carpark tripping my nuts off, but no, i wasnt in the carpark aving a **** i wascrashed out in the back of my mates car tripping about me having a **** in a carpark, i was ****ing soaking.
Smoked weed for years, gave up the other year when in hospital with the head thing.
like bill said, started on solid then moved onto green, white widow, lethal.
Did it make me depressed, no, did it make me move onto heroin like people suggest no, personally i think its down to the indervidual really, some are weakwilled some are strong willed.
I acually had a smoke on new years eve, through a complete whitey and ended up over the bog for a hour.

And julie, i acually shagged a bird in ibiza, san antonio in 87, think she was welsh though

well drugs, booze take you into a different mental state correct? Where you feel happier, more confident, less pain etc etc.

so unless you are happy with your life i.e not depressed and don't have anything wrong with you what is the reason to take drugs?

by heavily i would mean you smoke or take something on a regular basis.

I've got plenty of boozy and doped-up mates. I wouldn't say they're less or more depressed than anyone else I know.

Whats the reasoning for heavily drinking ans taking drugs. You wouldn't do something that takes you to a different mental state and seriously damages your health just because it feels good.

Depression is a common desease that can be easialy concealed. You can know somebody your whole life and not know what goes on inside there head. Example. Your teacher that turned out to be a peedi. I doubt his wife new.

There must be an element of depression there to to continually take drugs.

I don't know, maybe some people are just naturally inclined to experiment with all that ****. it's not for me but i don't think people necessarily have to have depression although there is clearly a link the other way around.

He wasn't married. It wasn't a surprise either - he was a complete ******* from the day I met him. Thankfully I wasn't his type, but one of my school friends wasn't so lucky.

But I don't think it's fair to say: you drink/take drugs, so you must be doing it to conceal something.

A lot of people just like the altered state of mind that comes from getting smashed or high.
