The scale and volume of inaccuracies held within the Bible can't be ignored just because it wasn't handwritten by God, himself. It is meant to be the true word of God. Small inaccuracies can be understood, but the whole of the story of creation is wrong. If he is all powerful, I'm sure God would not have allowed for the story of his greatest triumph be published in a fictional, inaccurate, manner.

Note, I've nothing against religion or its believers, just stoking the fire of debate. :good

Whats wrong about the story of creation?

that doesnt prove god does no exist in some form. and as i have said i am aware of the bible is not total fact and can be inaccurate.

Studies show the age of the Earth, according to The Bible, to be maxing out to about 6,500 years, contrary to scientific findings proving the Earth to be four and half billion years old. Likewise, if the human race was only created about 6,500 years ago according to The Bible, what of the oldest recorded human fossils that are over a million years old? It just doesn't add up.

I beleive in evolution. I also beleive in God....above all else. They do not contradict one another even if the bible which i use purley as a guide to live my life by and not as a source of fact.

 

I do love the religious backings that are always offered.
