The comebacking Jim Jeffries v the Dempsey who butchered Willard. Does The California Grizzly Bear do any better than Big Jess?
Jeffries gets absolutely Hammered. But as for question of does he do better than Willard? I'd say maybe by a round or two but not much more. I don't see him crashing to the canvas 7times in the first round but from the second s out he'd be knocked about and beaten up. By around the sixth, Jeffries is shell shocked. I can't see any other out come here tbh.
I suspect that Jeffries would have done a slightly better job of fending off the inevitable, but the outcome would have been the same.
Bad day for Jim. Any version of Jeffries gets schooled by Jack, IMO, but this particular shell of an athlete gets pummeled ruthlessly. Probably an early stoppage.
A 79 yr old Fitzsimmons cut up and battered Jeffries, despite being outweighed by more than 40 pounds (second fight). Joe Choynski, outweighed by 50 pounds, busted Jeffries lip and forced a decision on him although there were some that thought Choynski won. A Prime Dempsey pummels Jeffries badly, winning by TKO in 6 or 7 rounds.
