I've just seen on facebook that Jeffries' team are trying to get him a fight with Groves at the Stadium of Light :nut
I'd like to see it. Entertaining whilst it lasts and Groves gets another nice domestic name on his scalp. Groves via stoppage in about five, and I don't partcularly rate his power.
I'll go see that, and will cheer on Groves. Would be interesting to see how Groves takes that, being the hated. Trust me, he will get a ****ing TORRID reaction from the Sunderland sheep. He'll beat the **** out of Jeffries, especially if he goes down in weight. He's crap.
Unless Groves walks onto a monstrous right hand he'll dominate Jeffries. Jaffa is a nice kid but thick as **** in the ring, absolutely clueless unless he's allowed to bumrush in and throw the big right over the top. Actually I can see Maloney letting this happen. It'll be a decent payday for his man, and if he loses it'll be to the conqueror of the Olympic champion. No lose situation.
Groves will be out of the ring for a good 6 months I feel with those cuts last night. No way this happens in winter.
I really liked the look of Jeffries at first, thought he had a good jab, but since he has looked ****. Wonder how much training in the States has improved him. He needs to be more active though.
There is actually nothing wrong with this fight. They shouldn't be quick to move Groves up, he's got a serious amount of developing to do. Physically especially. At domestic level, Jefferies is one of the few viable fights. Possibly more interesting than bringing in one of those boring Europeans that do an oak tree impression for 8 rounds.
Groves wins unless he gets silly and Jefferies lands flush. By sounds last night Groves still showed chinnyness
