Good Lord. Bad day at the office for Jeffries as Moore counters every thought of Jim, some before Jim even conjures them in his brain pan.
I'm inclined to think Archie would be too smart for Jeffries,and if the fight is over 15 rounds I think he takes a clear decision over him. Twenty rounds or more Jeff's chances increase,imo.
If the 40 year old Fitzsimmons at 172 lbs could dominate him for 6 rounds bust him till Jeff caught him I’m thinking 1952 Archie who was about the same age fought heavyweight at around 185 was probably better then Fitz. He might be able to stay ahead and win late KO or decision. Would depend somewhat on whether you were using 1950 or 1900 rules which would help Jeff to some extent.
Pre film fighters just weren’t as good. Tough men who may have been deadly had trained in another time but they were extremely primitive compared to 1935 and up fighters. Archie was to skilled for Jeffries
