How would Jeff do against the following:

    Ezzard Charles
    Billy Conn
    Archie Moore
    Lloyd Marshall
    Jimmy Bivins

Does he get through them undefeated? 15 rounds but with the gloves and rules of Jeffries’ period.

Just imo, I think Jeff would have issues with all of them -

15 rounds would be relatively too short for Jeff to see his patience, resilience and stamina ultimately rewarded.

Even an old, inactive and much lighter Corbett gave Jeff fits for the better part of 20 rounds.

Allowing Jeff 20 + rounders would stand him in much better stead.

I don’t think it’d be wise of Jeffries to pursue this fight with cautious and the focus being on countering, he should instead use the approach he used in the Fitz and Ruhlin rematches as well as when he realized he needed a knockout near the end of the first Corbett fight. He needs to soften the body (likely at the expense of facial tissue) and use his weight and strength to try and bully in the clinches. It’d look ugly on his part but it probably gets the job done imo..

Agreed. Jeff would definitely have to be more proactive than usual in his offence and roughhousing over the relatively shorter limit.

Interesting question,he has the potential to lose to all of them, but possibly beats Bivins by decision, and could stop Marshall, who it is extremely difficult to evaluate due to rumours of handcuff fights. The others beat him by decision, imo.

I doubt it. That’s a tough list to go undefeated against.

All those guys are tough and every single one of them was used to fighting heavyweights, so Jeffries could definitely take a loss, which isn’t a shame, since I doubt even Joe Louis himself would run through these guys at their best and come out undefeated.

I think he could take Bivens and Marshall but the other three outclass him.

At the risk of sounding like a broken record, first define Jeffries.
