    How would this work?

Surely all contracts have been signed right up until the knockout stages of the super 6?

As selfish as it sounds I don't care who Froch is with as long his upcoming fights are on TV, live. If Hatton has pulled this off he's laid a big marker down and other fighters will surely follow - John Murray for one at some point.

Good point. Hennessy has been good for Froch in the same way that Hobson has been good for Woods. It might have taken time but eventually they got their fighter a world title.

However when your promoter can't get you, as Britain's only world champion (at the time of the Taylor fight) a TV deal for it, thats surely bad promoting.

Potentially with Hatton behind him, and with the massive tournament coming up the "Sky hype machine" could turn him in to their next big PPV star.

I would be quite suprised if Froch jumped ship. Hennesey has put so much in to him.

i would almost definately say that it is unfounded rumours, maybe started by hatton to get a bit more exposure.
give hennessy a break would y'all,i'm sure that the t.v deal for froch/taylor wasn't entirely his fault.he has built up a great stable of fighters over the last few years and works pretty hard at getting them fights as regularly as possible.his shows are great to go to,with normally a good undercard.surely we need people like him?:huh

I agree I was very suprised when I heard this, and wasn't convinced thats why its asking a question rather then making a statement. Also Hennesey bills are always value for money- failing to show the Froch Taylor fight live was a joke but he delivers as far as domestic boxing is considered in far better fashion then Warren.

Good news if it is real.

Hatton will hopefully have power behind em for definate tv and it was a real shame the fight the other night was not broadcast, good undercard but without enough title holders Hatton is struggling at the moment even if he has a good set of fighters with him.

I echo these sentiments. Hennesy done a fantastic job for Froch. They got him where he is today with a world title around his waist. Considering Hatton is just a fledgling promoter with little economic clout or big promotional experience how is this a step in the right direction? It makes absolutely no sense to me. Personally i think Hatton is slightly deluded. He doesnt realise how tough promoting really is. If he wants to take it seriously knock boxing on the head and do this full time. But he needs the links the influence and TV backing. Im not sure he has any of that yet.

I think that the idea of Hatton, Calzaghe and Haye joining forces would rock another promoter off the radar.....:good

I think that if the spin that Froch is signing for Hatton is true then the closeness between Froch and his promoter is neither here nor there.... Money talks...£$£$£$£$£$£.... Simple as that...:yep

Froch wants the fights, the TV exposure and the greenbacks that go with it all....I hope that he gets all three and more..

I really liked the way that JC and RJJ got their fight sorted, a text, a meeting, just them and that was that!!!...:yep

The idea of a similar version of Golden Boy in the UK and Europe would be fantastic....ex fighters promoting the fights.........:good
