Jeffsclusive: Has Hatton made a colossal signing?

Can't see this happening, Froch must be tied up already - and it would be a dumb time to start talking about his promotional future with Hatton when the deals have already been done on ShowTime. The first fight Hatton could promote would be years away.

BUT....if Hatton was working WITH Hennessy on this and other deals I'd believe that some joint work was possible. Murray and Fury are both from the North West where Hatton is building some strength, Hennessy could do the South and get some TV exposure when the ITV deal runs out.

I don't think that Hennessy has done a bad job at all for Froch. He's a legit world title fighter, involved in the biggest tournament in boxing for years, gets to fight at home most of the time and has loads of British and Commonwealth wins in 25 mostly meaningful fights.

 

I don't think Froch will be with MH forever. If MH doesn't get him the exposure, over here, that he deserves Froch will bolt - no doubt.

 

The only Froch/Hatton combination I'd like to see would be in the ring. Then Hatton might actually retire.
