Not a bad choice for his 5th fight (although it is a much more past it Ellis) and will hopefully stop the nonsense of fighting David Price

Hopefully he can hang in there longer than he did against Enzo, which I feel he will because I don't see Fury going to the body like Enzo did.

Good fight for both. Tyson is still very inexperienced and Ellis is a solid domestic pro. Ellis was looking good in his couple of fights pre the Enzo loss so hopefully he will train hard and show up ready to fight instead of another short notice afair.

I dont really see the point in him fighting Ellis, he is pretty much done and cant take a punch at all, Its gonna be a short fight, would rather see him fight someone like
willie chapman a journeyman who is durable and comes to fight and will show him
a thing or two, Ellis use to be decent but that was once upon a time he is just a quick
    knockout for Fury.

Fury wont go to the body?? Have u seen his fights he loves banging a left hook in there so far he seems to be heavyweight pressure fighter in the mold of Margarito.

Are there still plans for Fury to fight on the Froch-Taylor undercard? Henessey earlier said that would be where his next fight takes place but I guess it's been decided that they can sneak in another bout in the mean time.

However, two weeks between fights doesn't seem like enough to me, especially when factoring in issues of jetlag and other such things that come into the equation when fighting in foreign territory.

I didn't say he wouldn't go to the body, just that he won't be so consistent in going to the body like enzo did.

Heavyweight pressure fighter? All prospects look like pressure fighters when they are fighting journeymen who go into a shell to survive as long as they can.

He fought on February 28th, then March 14th so he has fought twice in two weeks before.

Granted, they were both in this country, but I don't really see jetlag etc. being a problem when he's likely only going to face a bum in the states and the combined total roundage for both fights probably won't go past six.

very good test but the fact they didnt even give Price 24 hours to respond shows how serious they were. The time difference between UK and where Froch fight is beign held is 5 hours, and Fury will likley be one of the first fights, so it would be like fighting at midnight!

Agreed. This bloke wants to fight, and ok the standard is not great at the moment, but this is only going to be his 5th fight. Also I think considering how often he is fighting, the guys that he is going in against are not too bad when you think how most "potential" young boxers are handled these days.

I think it is a great fight 4 fury in only his 5th fight, although ellis is beyond his best i think he will be a good test 4 tyson and like kosaros said i dont think he will dispose of ellis like enzo did.And if he does fight again on the froch undercard in america i think it shows 4 sure him and mick are not messing around when they said they wanted him 2 be a british champion by the end of the year.

    I agree on both accounts....

I remember a 3-0 Ellis talking about becoming sports first Billionaire athlete in Boxing Monthly.

I guess practicing golf and going though all the make up to become Tiger Woods, not to mention the bum knee, really hurt Eliis' boxing career!
