No, Jennings back peddled and was scared to throw a punch in reality and Lockett was a joke. I know Hatton was very poor but a. at least he was knocked out coming forward looking to take the game to Manny and b. he got KTFO against a far better boxer.
IMO Hatton is getting far too much stick for this. I expected him to get beat and actually wanted him to coz of all the 3rd person/P4P bollocks and add to the fact his fans are assholes. Feel sorry for the amount of hatred he's getting now though

Deliberately provocative statement but without the poster expressing an opinion themselves. Are you a producer at TalkSport?

Of course he fought better. He got knocked out trying to force the fight and throw punches himself which increased the power of the shots he was taking and his openess to them.

hmmm..cant answer unless they all fought PAC so we can compare. lol. but judging from PAC's performance on saturday i'd say those fighters would back pedal when facing pac. just my 2 cents.

Nah. Lockett fought like a scared little girl and then quit. He was also against Pavlik who is not on Pacquiao's level.

Jennings just ran around flicking punches out half way across the ring, Cotto was toying with him.

At least Hatton went out trying to do what he had to do.

Honestly, Hattons performance was so poor he's not far behind those those two imo.

Those two were expected to be dealt with in quick time where as hatton was expected to put up a fight, but ended up looking like a typical Brit getting exposed.

They all fought like **** in the end!

Hatton was totally outclassed by a superior fighter and fought the only way he ever knew how to so I would say the performances were of equal measure by fighters of almost equal ability and standing in British boxing.

I like Hatton but he deserves the same value that Jennings and Lockett are placed at. Good WBU champs who are far behind any elite status. The only differance is that Hatton is a ticket seller and a great commodity for promoters and tv companies so he got a better push and easier fights at the right time.

totally agree DWilson, Hatton is just a popular version of Macarinelli, Lockett....someone like that. Break it down objectively and he's far from an elite fighter just like those other guys.

 Is that the most subtle tactic you could think up to try and make yourself seem fair and reasoned where Hatton is concerned?? I've got a 4 year old nephew who could see through that....

    No, not really.

Locket fought like a coward and quit.

Jennings gave it a go but was totally outgunned and outclassed.

Hatton went on the attack and got his ass handed to him by rhe P4P king.....

Jennings didn't give anything a go by the way. He ran around the ring throwing jabs from 5 foot away. He wasn't even trying to hit Cotto, which was why his connect ratio was **** poor.

He was a scared man, can't blame him and I certainly don't criticize him for it. He got a good payday and a once in a lifetime opportunity at 30 yrs old but he was out of his depth.

I really wanted Hatton to win before the fight started. I was genuinely gutted when the fight got stopped and disapointed for the Hattons fans who supported him and those that continue to.

But unfortunetly he did exactly what I expected and fought like a ****** and got KTFO.

We expected Jennings and Lockett to be an annihilation. That it was. No one expected Ricky to walk out there and just get beaten up. No one expected him to get annihilated. In that respect he was no different at all to the aforementioned two. The common denominator here is there all SN fighter......

yea and Joe Frazer against Foreman:roll::D

nah, Hatton doesn't mess around. He went out throwing, or at least trying to which is certainly more than the Rocket Lockett did.
