So we have plenty of thread how Wlad should be DQ, and a ton of morons blame him for the clinches, when he wasnt guilty.
So lets have and a thread for Jennings.
Watch the match again without bias.
Most of his body punches in the clinch was in Wlads hands or illegal in the kidney area. Why the referee not warn him even a single time?
He lunge with his head most of the times and cause almost 90% of the clinches, why wasnt he warned for it? The bulgarian commentator was annoyed for it as hell and was thinking how the hell referee allow this ???
He hit numerous times behind the head, as well as after the break, wy referee do nothing about it?
Same goes for Pulev even in greater degree. He hit like hell behind the head, he hit so much times after break from referee and he het only 3 warning for the rabbit punches, is that normal?
And so much baby crying how referee help Wlad, while its complete otherwise.
I can agree Wlad should be warned against Povetkin and get a point away, but Povetkin should be warned and get a point as well for his head lunging too, and he do it in Huck match and against Wlad ...
Did i need to mention the judge give Povetkin win against Huck?
Atleast Wladimir never get gifted win like that ....
Forum full of biased guy who can`t write a meaningful comment without bias and hate ....
Guess what he is still the HW Champ, he is still the best, and now he have 18 consecutive defences, as well as he is the number 1 guy with the most HW Championship fight in history of this sport.
Top 5 ATG without a doubt.

Wlad uses clinching excessively, you can't argue against it.

Having said this, i agree Jennings was causing a lot of the clinches by lunging in kamikaze style, head first with his high guard. Jennings fought smart - moved a lot, focused on body shots (difficult to find Wlad's chin) and he deliberately lunged to make Wlad clinch. It almost seemed like Jennings wanted to be clinched so that referee would take points away from Wlad. His strategy worked as a point was deducted and once that happened, Wlad was uncomfortable. Referees should not take points way from wlad when an opponent lunges in like this, naturally Wlad will clinch. Now if Jennings is throwing inside, Wlad shouldn't clinch, this should be penalizing. There is a difference between being inside and throwing and lunging in, head first as if to tackle someone.

There's nothing illegal about coming in head first as long as you don't headbutt your opponent or dip below the waist. So there was no reason for the ref to warn Jennings for what is a legitimate strategy to get inside. Every opponent that is shorter than Wlad will do this knowing he lacks an uppercut, what else are they expected to do fight a style that suits Klitschko because Klitschko fans don't like it?

Some of Jennings shots perhaps drifted and were illegal but most were clean connects to the body and the side of Wlad's head. If you are looking for excuses for Wlad having a tougher than expected fight you don't need to twist the facts. Wlad's near 40 for Christ sake and has been in decline for years now that's a totally valid reason for his lackluster performance.

Jennings was just a better fighter than expected and came in with a very sound strategy to take Wlad out of his comfort zone but even then that wasn't enough to beat Wlad.

Jennings didn't do a damn thing but try to get inside on Wlad. Wlad did what he had to do, but he's unwatchable. That's why nobody will pay to see his fights on world wide ppv. Everyone resspects Wlad, but they just won't pay to watch him except where he lives. The hvw champ brings excitement to boxing. Wlad just wins ugly. He destroys the inferior and outpoints and fights ugly against the tough guys.

i disagree, there's a difference between trying to get on the inside to throw and lunging, head first as if to tackle. Watch the fight closely, Jennings oftentimes lunged in instead of stopping to punch, he continued forward movement until they were pretty much groping each other. At this point, holding will take place.

If Jennings would've stepped in to punch and Wlad held, this is unacceptable. This did happen on occasion, i mean, Wlad does clinch too much. Jennings, though, was deliberately trying o force clinching as he wanted Ref to take points off. To me, this was painfully clear, dead obvious. Some of the lunging was only to make Wlad clinch as Jennings wouldn't even throw, just collide head first with Wlad, so Wlad would hold.

To me, jennings was very clever and part of his tactics were undeniably to make Wlad clinch. It worked well as referee took points off and Wlad was getting uncomfortable

It's one thing to fight the Champ but Jennings wasn't there to take the title-he was there to go the distance. The Dude just didn't engage enough.Way too much credit is being given to Jennings.

just shows how dominant Wlad has been. These days, if Wlad doesn't use an opponent as a punching bag and brutally KO's them early, it's a bad performance.

Even Floyd (p4p 1) gets a pass for struggling vs guys like Maidana but not Wlad..
