For the record I'm not criticizing Wlad for fighting Jennings since the talent pool at HW is considerably weak, and Jennings is a top 10 heavy.
I think Jennings is a much bigger mismatch. He's had 10 fights! Wlad will dominate him and knock him out early. Algieri has been in with Pacman and went 12 rounds with him. Putting him in with Khan can hardly be called a huge mismatch. I do however fully expect Khan to dominate him. But not to the extent that Wlad will dominate Jennings.
Oh my mistake, I thought I had read that he had only had 10 fights. Still nothing has changed about my opinion.
Algieri survived and beat Ruslan, who was close to KOing Matthysse. Algieri then went the distance w/ Pac. Jennings is gonna get wrecked. Algieri might outbox Khan.
A lot of people had Ruslan beating Algieri, and either way who is Ruslan's best win? The only way you can credit him is by saying he "almost", koed matthyse. Algieri was one of the worst PPV opponents ever.
But he didn't. Your only arguments are "arguably", and "almost". Also Bradley isn't that good. Anyways stay on topic, who is the bigger mismatch?
Bradley isn't that good? He soundly outboxed a master boxer in Roidquez. Ruslan is so awful that both Rios and Roidquez actively ducked him. Bigger mismatch is Jennings.
An old Marquez. And I woudn't necessarily say he thoroughly outboxed him. Look at the punch stats. Bradley landed 13 more total punches than him, which averages to around 1 punch a round, and Marquez landed 30 more power punches. If you want to call something thoroughly outboxing numbers dont lie. Marquez landed 69 total punches at 12%, and Mayweather landed 290 at 60%. Also so what if Rios is ducking him. Rios is awful too. Prov is decent, but he's no elite fighter.
I dont think much people will agree that algieri beat provo though....alot of people threw out that R word in regards to that fight.:deal
Algeri should have had a quick turnaround fight after Pacqioua, and at WW. Fighting back to back top 10 p4pers is ill advised, but the kid must nto consider himself a longterm pro. Looking more and more like he's gonna be cashing out on his Provo win. That said, nothing whatsoever suggests that Jennings is cashing out. He doesnt have the earning potential of Algeri in the non-boxing job market. Both these fights are mismatches, but I'd give Algeri a far better shot at victory. This gonna be the first time Khan has fought someone with both an iron chin, and his own hand/footspeed. This could easily backfire on Khan. Jennings gonna NEED Wlad to be wreckless and careless to win. His only chance. :think
