Jennings Proved His Chin Tonight

    He has an Iron Chin. He took some savage punches. Chins matter. Glass Jaw Pulev was KOed by those punches.

    Pulev wasnt near as mobile as Jennings. Pulev was there to get hit.

    Iron chin don't win you fights. But fair play to jennings, I think wilder and fury stop him though, the youth and aggressiveness would so it

    Jennings has one of the worst chins ever. He is just very mobile and has a good double defense. Wladimir was very slow but still enough to beat him clearly.

    Pulev thought for some reason he can take flush shots from Wlad. Jennings tried to stay elusive and not expose his chin too much.

    I only saw Wlad catch him clean once or twice with full power flush right hands all night. Obviously Jennings knew the right hand was coming too. Jennings would've been on his back had Wlad caught him flush with the kind of left hooks and right hands he caught Pulev with. That was very difficult to do though given Jennings high guard, speed and movement. Jennings is a good fighter though and he took the few he did get caught with well.

    He had a great chin in this fight due to Wlad keeping his right hand at bay all night.

    If Manny had been in the corner Jennings would have been softened up
    and KO'd 7-8th round

    I was the first person to identify James Kirkland's feeble punch resistance. To be honest, I'm not so sure I agree about Jennings having an iron chin just yet. What Jennings proved was that he could keep his hands up and move his upper body well. He also showed decent footwork.

    I think Wladimir blew Pulev away so easily because:

    A. Pulev had ZERO defense, particularly on his right side (Wladimir's left)

    and

    B. Pulev's punch resistance was never actually good. He was rarely ever tagged, but he definitely felt it when hit by Travis Walker. I believe Thompson would have exposed him, had he been in shape for that fight.

    Outstanding chin. Wlad did spin him around with a left hook, I think it was, but Jennings took some big shots and held strong. Especially in the last round.

    Wasn't jennings dropped by that Samoan dude, and rocked by Fedesov?

    I think this shows Wlad losing some steam from his punches more so than Jennings having a good chin.

    He prove he had a really good peek a boo defense and made sure he didn't get caught with anything big. 2 or 3 clean shots landed and he got rocked. But yes he has a very good chin.
