I think you miss my point - he would go for the bigger fight, whats wrong with that, he would lose to both Froch and Kessler so he may as well be paid for it - thats all.

Well why not get that WBC hardware then fight Kessler? The fight with Lacy is an eliminator so why not fight for the title if thats what he's working towards? Kessler isnt going anywhere..literally

But if that's what is in his mind, then why not fight for the title already? Lacy is an eliminator for a title that he already had a shot at, but chose not to take up.

 :rofl Taylor will fight for the WBC title after Lacy and whether its Froch or Pascall Taylor will be victorious......Froch is nothing more than a crude puncher and will be beaten badly....Unlike Pavlik, Froch can't box and throws wideass punches:deal

Taylor is making his SMW debut Cobbler....why would he make his debut in a title shot? Ultimately Taylor has been inactive and needs to shake off some rust and make some good money against a more marketable Lacy first. The WBC has deemed it an eliminator.....The winner of Froch-Pascall will have no choice but to fight the winner of Taylor-Lacy.....You in a hurry for Taylor or something? Patience mate.. Taylor will fight for the WBC title early next year:deal Win that maybe fight Inkin or Miranda before unifying with Kessler

if tayl;or looks good i think it sets it up well for a taylor v kessler fight in america.

i cannot see it being taylor v froch as froch is to high risk for a smaller purse and taylor would get no credit stateside for beating froch while he would for beating kessler.

Because there's no money in this fight and he'd get little credit for beating an unknown prospect from Britain.

By the way, he's not fighting Lacy because it is an eliminator. It is an eliminator because he has decided to fight Lacy. The WBC want Taylor's custom, so they are prepared to make allowances for him, hoping he will fight for their belt.

Taylor is such a big draw he could fight for any of the four titles. I would be surprised if he doesn't take the best money fight next, and that equates with Kessler. If he were to fight Froch and lose, instead, he'd have lost to a fighter who was just one win against Pascal in credit over just another prospect, for little money. Taylor doesn't need to WBC to remain a draw. The Froch fight would make great sense for Froch but makes very little sense for Taylor.

I disagree with you here. You make it sound like Kessler is Ricky Hatton which he's not....Ultimately its about the hardware and bringing clarity to the division....and how is Froch high risk?

kessler was on prime time american tv v andrade and calzaghe while froch has been televised once to my knowledge, a lackluster fight v a substiture no name where froch did not stand out and was instantly forgettable.

froch is high risk because he is probably the divisions hardest single punch hitter and carries his power through all 12 rounds while being a regional (nottingham) fighter from the uk and does not have a name like kessler.

lose to froch and everyone will say taylor is finished.

lose to kessler and he could still be in the pack.

Sean that doesnt take away from the fact that Froch is an easier fight that would net him the WBC championship, afterwards he can fight Kessler in a unification bout at MSG and also its a tougher fight than Froch.....

but in that regards he could take on inkin , who is no danger power wise /would not cost a lot/and he equally wins a belt.

Yes I agree. RealIzm keeps telling me that Froch v Taylor will happen next, I don't see it happening. We'll see.
