How could anyone say it was premature when Taylor was sitting in a corner out cold?
I'm not saying he's out cold in the GIF ^^ but at the time of stoppage he sure looked like it.

My point is his bandwagon fans will disappear the minute he is ko'd. If Hop doesn't get him, Abraham will.

No he wasn't out cold. He was slumped, and received no count. The ref has to count. The ref can't just jump in like that and stop it without giving the champion at count even if he can't beat the count. It was probably the right call, but one day a fighter/champion is going to spring up at 8, and want to continue only to be told he can't. Being knocked down is part of a fight. The ref has to count to at least 8.

No, counting at least gives the ref time to observe a fighter, and time for the fighter to gather himself. The ref has to count even if a guy looks done.

If I remember correctly Taylor looked like Ricardo Torres in Torres-Holt II.

Abraham is too short, too inactive. He relies on a form of 'rope a dope'. He lets you score points, as your confidence builds you come in closer... POW..... He needs Kelly to forget his HUGE reach advantage and his basic fighting style to beat him. NOT gonna happen. :deal

I'm not a boxing whiz, but where do you come up with that ****? The ref can stop the fight ANY time he wants to prevent serious damage. Taylor was on the ropes and COULDN'T fall. Buy a clue.

Funniest ever had to be when Marlon Starling was knocked colder than a wedge with a Tomas Molinares right-hand just after the bell. Starling was stretched out on the canvas as stiff as a board and had no clue and then in the post-fight interview with Merchant, Starling said something to the effect that "I wasn't knocked out Larry, I wasn't even knocked down" and then he sees the clip of it and he's like, "Whoa".

He doesn't let you score points, he blocks your punches at times, and unleashes his fury. Size doesn't matter because Abraham has beaten men taller tham him. He doesn't need Kelly to forget anything. All he has to do is catch Pv one time, and it's all over.
