I'm just curious to know how you dudes think those two would match up? He's pretty hands on and big on conditioning. Do you think he could help JT improve his stamina or as a fighter period? For this matter, how do you think he would do with Roach?

I don't think they would get along at all.

Possibly. He would certainly have him more defensive minded. Steward is very offensive minded and Taylor obviously has trouble keeping a fast pace over 12 rounds.

I don't think they would be too friendly, either, but don't you think he needs more discipline than a friend?

too much is like not enough

throw him in with Roger or Roach. He'll have to respect his trainer but he won't be pushed over the edge.

I was also thinking about this after JT lost last week and think that Mayweather Sr. is the best man for the job. If Taylor is serious about being champion, then he needs to get with Mayweather sr.

Taylor biggest problem was he did not listen to Steward and I doubt he would listen to Mayweather Sr.

Taylor is just a limited fighter and should just stay with Ozell Nelson.

Jermain Taylor is pure class, born and bred in a class home.
Mayweather Sr is a bit of a *****, egoistic with a "gangster" mentality.

    They would not mash good.

I'd like to see JT with Eddie Mustafa Muhammad.

Jermain Taylor doesnt listen to instructions. His corner tells him one thing and he goes out and does another. Floyd Sr couldnt handle that. It was the same thing with Chad Dawson.

A guy like Floyd Mayweather jr goes out and follows his teams fight plan. JT is either not smart enough or not confident enough to do that. Thats why him and Steward fell off aswell.

alot of people were blaming steward for taylor's performances vs. spinks and ouma which were lackluster, but i think it's no secret taylor is in badly need of his conditioning or struggling in the late rounds. he has the skill, he has the speed, he has the power, but loses focus and has to stay off the ropes and learn how to clinch and grab some air. those little adjustments would help him greatly when he's in trouble

Not a bad suggestion. Muhammad is a laid back guy. Heck Nazim Richardson might be a good choice too.

Taylor has got to fix his stamina problem though.

    I like that too.

Both Eddie and Nazim usually have their fighters in peak shape mentally and physically, something Taylor has struggled with recently.:good

I just think Jermain would feel more comfortable with a genuinely good fellow like Muhammad or Nazim.

I don't think Jermain and Mayweather Snr would hit off, Nazim Richardson sounds like the man.
