there is by far more oppotunity for Taylor at 168, 160 is extremely shallow mwith only one fight that matters.

Super Middle is a growing competitive division much better than 160.

Lacy was the highest ranked American (by "The Ring") from 160-168 still avaiable to Taylor. He was also a bigger name in the USA than everyone else, including Kessler. Now with Wright back on the cards at 160, Taylor might consider a rematch.

Well there is no waqy for Taylor to become a super middleweight champion without fighting a legit threat - a non American.

Lacy should set him up well for any of the belt holders, they would all jump at the chance to fight him!

    Kessler - Taylor baby...

Screw Taylor - he could have gone straight in with Froch for the vacant title and immediately be champion...

    ...instead he takes an eliminator.

    CLOWN.

It didn't appear that way in his last fight. In fact I thought he improved after the Pavlik knockout.

This is his thought process, imo...He could have KO'D Kelly in fight 1, and could have won the decision in fight 2...He beat BHop, controversial, or not, and BHop dominated Kelly...He saw Kelly's limitations as a boxer and now feels very confident if they were to fight. He lost not only his two fights against Kelly, but his pride too...I think he would take one victory over Kelly than all the belts at 168, imo.

Smart move by JT. I know De La Hoya is trying to get Mundine a big fight in the US. Im presuming Sturm won't take Mundine as his voluntary, so hes spicing things up by trying to get JT to come back down. Really when JT looks at it, SMW is packed with top class 168 Euro fighters, who most of them beat JT.

Staying at 160 is a very good move.

If Taylor gets past Lacy he has a title shot waiting for him. I doubt he'll move back down to 160 without a significant opponent and plenty of $$$. He can rebuild himself by going after the belts at 168 and he doesn't have to worry about Kelly Pavlik.

Wasn't he having trouble making the 160 weight limit? Why return if your having trouble? I'm hoping he stays at 168.
