I hope Jermain retires. He seems like a great guy and has a great family. He has nothing to be ashamed of and everything to be proud of. I don't want to see him permanently damaged from this tournament.

Feel sorry for JT . . . but that's the risk and danger of their proffesion.

It definitely wouldn't be a bad idea to consider retirement. Hopefully he is fine.

I would rather see Librado replace him.

Time to call it a day. The Froch fight clearly took a little out of him and Abraham simply dominated him. That KO was utterly brutal: it landed flush on the top of his mouth (where there are a lot of nerve endings) and seemed to totally concuss him, with involuntary limb movements etc.

Definitely time to (a) get him out of the tournament and (b) probably get him out of the sport altogether. At the very least he shouldn't even spar for 6 months.

It's no big deal having a replacement come in. If the replacement wins both fights he'll probably get in the final 4, surely if he gets at least one KO.

Does Bute even have ANY desire to join this tournament?

The guy is hyped so much yet we don't hear him say anything. I know we heard Pavlik say the tournament is meaningless then went on to try and get a fight with Mayorga.

    Agreed 100%.

Me and my boy both had a feeling (hell probably everyone who knew Taylor's history) that was a career ending KO the time it happened.

It's too bad. You could tell he worked his ass off and wanted to win badly.

Exactly: Andrade should join the tournament. That's what I said.
