He shouldn't retire. He should take the fights he has and throw in the towel if hes behind on points or taking too much punishment,

First of all it was ARUM throwing out names and Scar is talking about AFTER the tourney was announced. Nice try, but FAIL.

Its not weird. I posted on this site that Abraham has the most powerful punch in the division even more power than Pavlik. I said he had one punch knock out power. It's not weird to receive a concussion from a shot to the chin coming from Abraham.

Seeing what is happening to JT is just too painful to watch anymore. I truly believe the best thing for him is to retire from the ring.

This is bad news, I thought his performance was good and worthy of his place but if he has health problems on the back of 3 KO losses in close succession that is probably a clear indication. I guess they'll have to see how quickly this clears up and take the best medical advice.

Geez. We agree on something. He just can't protect himself adequately anymore. Please JT. Retire. You have done your share for the sport.

I hate saying this but if he fights Ward and Kessler his life is at huge risk. The poor guy has been savegly KOed 3 times in 5 fights and has no suffered a severe concussion which will make a secound concussion very likely to happen and look at the sport he is in trust me it will happen.

You may be right - while I feel he can beat Ward and it'd be great for his confidence (and legacy, inching his W column a little closer to the thirty mark), it's not like he'd be able to just go out on top...he'd still be staring Kessler in the maw. Jesus...Mikkel would **** the guy who just fought Abraham (and this wasn't a bad version of JT by any means). :-(

    Yeah, you may be right.

I haven't seen the fight yet, but it seems to be agreed he was being out boxed by Abraham. If that is so, I just don't see him beating Ward either. And no telling what effect this will have on him if he does try and continue.

Abraham actually boxed exceptionally well...which he has underrated ability to do. He'd have beaten any of the three Americans tonight IMO, on points if not sooner.

God damn it. Abrahams power is sick! I hope he's okay.

Well, I won't be able to see it until tomorrow at the earliest. Well, I should say later today. He must be a different animal at 168 then. Well, sooner I go to bed, sooner I'll be able to get up and watch it and see for myself. Have a good one....
