I just read the article about the Showtime SMW tournament that Dan Rafeal posted on July 4th. According to the article JT will participate in the Showtime SMW tournament. This could prove to be Jermain's demise, or it could prove to be his ticket back to the top of the sport.

In my opinion the first thing he should do is dump Ozzell Nelson, and get a better trainer. Nelson does not seem to know what is going on during a fight. For example, after 10 rounds Jermain had the Froch fight in the bag. Ozell told Jermain he needed to win the last 2 rounds BIG. Taylor tried to do what Nelson told him to, and it cost him the fight. I'd like to see Taylor with Roach or Richardson, or maybe even hook back up with Burns. A good trainer could be the difference JT needs.

With Roach, Richardson, or Burns in his corner JT's first fight would be an easy one. It's Arthur Abraham. Speed and movement would make Abraham look like a clown, and Jermain is capable of both.

I think Ward or Dirrell is an easy night for JT. They have never been anywhere near Jermain Taylor's level. A guy who fought Pavlik twice, fought Hopkins twice, and fought winky Wright ain't losin' to ward or Dirrell.

Jermain only needs to be 14 seconds smarter to beat Froch. A world class trainer would make the difference.

So, it's possible that this thing could come down to Kessler/Taylor. That won't happen if JT sticks with Nelson.

From what I'd read, his first proposed match up is vs. AA IN GERMANY.

Don't know that gettin' the Decision would be as easy as it should be.

Agreed. Keep Ozell on the team though, just put Burns back in the driver's seat.

According to the Official's score cards, JT could have been KD'd twice in the 12th, and still won.:yep

14 mudder ****in' got damn seconds!!!

It's highly overlooked, probs due to the outcome, but JT was ownin' that ass until the last 2 rounds.

Congrats to Froch for one HELLACIOUS come back.

Ozell Nelson could not see that Jermain was ahead. Consequently, JT went out in the 11th and started trying to knock Froch out. A vicious exchange took place. I thought JT won the exchange, but he took some heavy shots in the process, and it took a lot out of him. If they played the 11th correctly, the 12th would have been completely different. JT should have been makin' that mother****er slow dance for the last 2 rounds. Instead he was out there trying to take Froch out, based on Nelson's instructions, and it cost him the fight!
