Boxing is scored by a 10 point must system. There were no KD's in the first fight and Taylor swept the first 6 rounds, the best you could give Hopkins is a draw, and this is coming from a huge Ex fan.

The 2nd fight was a close but clear 7-5 victory for JT.

He deserved the draw with Winky too, Winky acting like a whiny ***** at the end of the fight has warped some of your minds.

It seems like much of the public seems to like what JT brings to the ring after 2 400k+ buys with Hopkins, a fight that 4.6 million watched on regular HBO with Pavlik I, and him being on PPV for Pavlik II.

Zakman doesn't actually want to discuss the details of the scoring in either of the Hopkins fights since it would prove that both were incredibly close and a very legitimate case can be made for Taylor winning both. He'd rather just show up in every single thread discussing Taylor and scream and rant his same tired old garbage about robbery and conspiracies.

Zakman, perhaps you can provide us with your scoring breakdown in each of the fights?

Taylor is not a fraud. He is in the same position as Dejesus (Duran), Valdez (Monzon), Quarry (Frazier), etc were. There is just a bigger and style-wise better guy sitting on the throne and you just can't quite get by him.

At least Taylor fights the best guys available and gives it his all.

Back in the "old-days" with lots of fights, there were all kinds of combinations where one fighter just had your number.

Jermaine isn't a fraud. The guy twice beat Hopkins and whipped William Joppy, defended the title a pretty fair amount of time before being beaten twice by Pavlik, but even in the losses had Pavlik down in the first bout and nearly won the second bout. That's far from being a fraud in my book.

I think the title of this thread should have been "Kelly Pavlik is not a fraud"

He isn't a fraud, but was he over hyped? Yes, but it wasn't his fault

The only frauds I see are Fraudgarito, Cintron and Emanual Steward as a trainer.

Taylor didn't "beat" Hopkins, he got two VERY questionable decisions against him. Then he proceeded to "defend" it by getting another gift against a guy coming up from the lower weights, and then take on two more lighter weight fighters, neither of whom he beat particularly convincingly. Oh, and Joppy was well past his best when he beat him, too.

This guy has one of the most MANUFACTURED records among world rated fighters that I've seen since I started following the sport 30 years ago. And unfortunately, there is a certain segment of the boxing public that's bought this scam hook, line and sinker.
