Excellent post, although I think Taylor has a better chance than you give him, maybe 30%. I'm sure Taylor will prepare a different winnng strategy but he always seems to throw it out the window. Most people in the world, Taylor too IMO, when under pressure, have a hard time thinking through it and rely on their deep instincts. Pavlik seems like one of those rare psyches, like Michael Jordan & Joe Montana, who still thinks well when under pressure. Well maybe not quite up with those guys but you get my point
Its funny how people are giving Taylor absolutely no chance to win the rematch when he was only one flurry away from beating Pavlik the first time.
You know the first fight I thought Pavlik was going to win, and I was right. However now I get a strange feeling that Taylor is going to come off with the W. I am not sure if this is an opinion based on what I believe Taylor can bring, because I believe he will be more focused and aiming for victory then ever, but so will Palvlik. I have this feeling and I also feel this way for a reason that should not affect ones predictions and that is the fans of Pavlik... they are delusional. I like Pavlik but seriously guys are going on and on about like Taylor has no chance. He was winning the fight prior to the KO and almost had Pavlik out in the 2nd. I think I am just getting annoyed of all this crap. People are going about like Pavlik has a chin of steel, and is a defensive wizard like Floyd with a a punch like Julian Jackson. It's getting annoying. This is a even fight in many respects... anyone can take this, which is why it is so compelling.
:good My mind is telling me Palvic will win again but my heart is telling me I hope taylor wins this time
Yeah. Smoger was COMPLETELY vindicated by the results. The only people that think otherwise probably lost a chunk a change.
Go to the doctor, get an antibiotic, because what you're feeling has nothing to do with the outcome of this fight.
He may have been only one flurry away, but the point is he wasn't cool-headed enough to throw that flurry and i don't see him improving that. If he could, he would have learned by this stage of his career. BTW, i don't actually think he's without a chance to win, not so much because of what happened with either of the knockdowns, but simply because there seemed to me to be very little between them in the rest of the fight.
