    Those who love Taylor should not allow him to continue to fight. He is heading down the Alex Ramos road, maybe already there. He just can no longer take a punch. He was a great fighter. Leave it at that, Jermain.

    It looks like Showtime Extreme is also doing a quadruple header before the main Showtime card . Thats a total of 8 fights on the night from Showtime.

    I love what GBP has been doing this year with a lot of triple and quadruple headers not too mention a number of Extreme cards as well.

    They can't possibly be. Where did you get that info?

    The broadcast on Showtime Extreme is only 90 minutes long. It runs from 6pm-7:30pm EST, and then it is All Access: Broner vs. Maidana before the main card starts on Showtime @ 8pm EST.

    They are showing Jermain Taylor vs. JC Candelo & Ricardo Alvarez vs. Rod Salka - a potential combined 20 rounds - so that leaves very little room for another two bouts in only ninety minutes. :huh

    Actually the article at the scene is a bit confusing and it does seem there will be 3 and not four fights but they say its going to be the Alvarez fight, the Herring fight and Easter-Paredess on Extreme and Taylor's fight won't be on.

    The article's headline made it look like 4 fights but once you read through the article is says their will be 3 and Taylor-Candelo, oddly, doesn't seem to be one of them.

    Huh. I did notice yesterday when looking at my Comcast listings guide that Showtime Extreme in the blurb for that slot didn't mention Taylor vs. Candelo, only Alvarez vs. Salka - but I could swear that somebody's official Twitter account (Brian Kenny maybe? It was someone directly involved with Showtime or Golden Boy...) had announced Taylor vs. Candelo as being on the ShoX card... :?

    I've also read that Taylor was going to be on the televised part and with his name recognition you'd figure he would be.

    Then again, maybe the article I read is off and Taylor does go on the tv portion.

    I know Taylor is pretty far removed from his peak but I've always been a fan of his and if he's going to be fighting, even at this level, I'd like to watch.

    Well, he was left off the ShoBox television broadcast when he fought Raul Munoz. There was confusion there as well; many believed he was the main event or co-feature and he wound up not even being televised live. They showed twenty seconds of tape delayed highlights. :!:

    He was badly dissed there, bumped off TV in favor of some completely obscure randoms.

    No no no. The dog, not 'The Dog'. Old FNF triva from when Phillips fought Candelo. Candelo's lady broke up with him and took the dog he bought for her, and later shacked up with Phillips. JC wanted the dog back and Verno said it was now his.
