Jermain Taylor - Kelly Pavlik *Weigh in Pictures*

I just gotta go with Pavlik because of his confidence. I know he hasn't faced the competition Taylor has but has anyone seen his interview on Maxboxing round table??? This guy just seems so damn confidant and determined.....just chilling knowing that a lot of people are going to be eating their words come Sunday. Taylor seems very unsure of himself....facing all these awkward fighters in a row has really sapped his confidence.

Kelly seems like a really intelligent guy. I feel like he is also going to turn it up in the later rounds as he does not want to be another victim of "Bad Decisions". We'll find out in about 25 hours!

I haven't seen enough kelly pavlik wieghins to be able to say for sure but he looks fine to me.

Taylor has a good chin, it would have been exposed by now, it's not like he is SPinks or a prime Roy Jones, he does get hit, he hassn't been really hurt except against Hopkins, but he survived and never went down.

 

Taylor looks absolutely fantastic! I think he looks better here than inpast fights He is more ripped and lean, which is what you need. Pavlik looks only so-so IMO. It sort of looks like Pavlik really struggled to make weight.

Taylor will win this fight convincingly. He will put on his best performance as champion. Styles make fights, and he is not fighting one of the most difficult defensive fighters in history, like he did with Wright, Hopkins and Spinks.

 

Again, I can I hate to repeat myself but what puncher has Taylor ever fought? Taylor wasnt knocked down by Wright, Spinks, or Ouma, imagine that. They are from smaller weight classes and not punchers.

 

Yeah i think taylor's managment was putting him in there with fether fists more becauso of a lack of focus then a bad chin cause you can get away with a lack of focus if you are facing someone that can't punch provided your a better boxer then they are. Against a puncher your ****ed.


Jermain will be focused for this one though. But it might take him some rounds to get his confidence up because like one of the above posters said it looks like fighting all these awkward guys has sapped his confidence a bit.

Pavlik has to start early.

Although this forum is split down the middle on this fight it looks like over 70% of boxing writers are picking taylor.

Jermain's going to get blitzed early and then worn down slow.

 

Pavlik dropped about 20lbs since August. I think he looks primed and ready to knock "all intentions" out of Taylor. Pavlik is taller, not by much. However, I believe Taylor has a longer reach.
