It's more than power - it's Taylor's mediocrity. At the world class level, he can't beat ANYONE convincingly, even fighters moving up from lower weight classes - guys, who, I might add, have been specifically selected because they don't hit hard.:yep Pavlik is gonna show exactly WHY Taylor has faced nothing but light-hitters moving up from lower weight classes since Hopkins rocked him. Tonight, the HBO hype-job and his shaky chin get EXPOSED!! :nod
Don't get me wrong, it's nice to look Ripped and everything, but we all know who's got the power advantage in this one. So not building muscle is probably in Pavlik's advantage. He's already got the power, extra muscle ain't necessary.
Well of course muscle doesnt always translate power....agree totally there. And I also agree that Pavlik is the harder puncher. But from a pure readiness standpoint, Taylor looking THAT RIPPED (probably the best he has looked pre-fight since the first Hopkins fight) shows that he is up to the chalenge so to say.
Taylor looks to be in great shape. I still think he is going to try and go toe to toe to remove that chip from his shoulder. I believe that plays right into Kelly's corner.
