Comparing fights with other guys to come up with the scenario of a matchup does not work too well. Leonard had a hard time with Duran and then easily beats Duran but never came close to knocking out Duran, Tommy Hearns demolishes Duran and Hagler knocks out Tommy. Tommy Hearns beats Virgil Hill easily but stuggles with Kinchen, whom Hill knocked out easily. What about the recent Mosley/Margarito/Cotto matchups?

I used to think he was overrated by a lot of people, he's a decent fighter but he's not up there with the best. Pavlik battering him brought people down to earth I think.
    Hopkins won both their fights.

I fully agree with detroit, to clarify lacy wanted to quit boxing, he was disillusioned with boxing so didnt give a **** if he won or lost, taylor is ranked no 5 in the world by the ring at SMW, ahead of 2 alphabet champs who've campaigned all their pro careers at smw? I also agree with what Froch said in a interview yesterday that Taylor sees his career as a gravy train and fears losing that,,,,i hope that fight is made cos then we'll see what JT is

I voted overrated only because that was the only option that made any sense. I actually think people have a pretty good sense at this point who Jermain is and what he can and can't do.

To date, I still haven't seen him win impressively against either a bona fide HOFer, or a fellow bona fide title contender his same age. He's got to beat Froch and Kessler impressively at 168 before we can even begin to consider him for the HOF, and down the road, maybe a rematch win over Pavlik. Winning a belt at 175 wouldn't hurt if he could pull it off.

To me, he's still just a very talented athlete who at best split with Hopkins, and lost to Winky. How is that a HOF resume, let alone ATG?

    Worst freaking logic ever. FAIL.

Taylor beats Hopkins. Pavlik KOs Taylor... Hopkins beats Pavlik?
Frazier beats Ali. Ali beats Foreman... Foreman destroys Frazier?

Go watch women's lacrosse. You probably know more about that than boxing.

Have you ever heard of the phrase " STYLES MAKES FIGHTS"?

The Triangle theory ALL-MOST NEVER work in boxing.

Taylor is good but defiantly not an ATG (who ever voted that should be banned) but he has an ok record and once he beats froch he should try and get a fight with Kessler
