to be fair he has taken a long amount of time out. it doesn't seem like a decision motivated by money.

WTF are they on about he doesn't belong at SMW. I thought the only reason he moved up was he couldn't make 160. That's why the Pavlik rematch was at a catchweight :huh

Hope all goes well for him, he's really grown on me in recent years.

As long as he doesn't fight a particularly big puncher in the first few fights he should be alright.

Something like 18 months out of the game, knocked out twice on the head. That time off isn't going to have done him any good.

If he does come back who would you want to see him in with? Martinez would be fun. :yep

Its not like hes totally shot. He got KOd by two big punchers in Froch and Abraham, in the last round, and he was winning one fight and competetive in the other. Yes the Abraham KO was bad but hes had a long time to recover. Can still be a force

Hope you're right, can't see it though. I can only see him fading more in that time rather than getting better, or even plateau. I could be wrong. :bbb

I like Taylor - seems a really good bloke (for a yank...) and it seems from the article that this has been a really thought out and careful return. if he can make 160 safely then good luck to him. Apart from 1 or 2 fighters i think he could do well and pick up at least a belt or 2.

Doubt he'd get to fight martinez though - didn't Dibella quit as his promoter through care for jermain and not wanting to see him hurt? he certainly wouldn't therefore put sergio in with him.

One step at a time though.

It would be good to see him have at least one decent win before he retires, but I don't want to see him get hurt. I actually felt sorry for him when he was on the deck and busted up against Froch.

I'd guess the situation with HBO and Martinez scratching round for opponents has made Talylor think he'd have a shot at getting a title fight and with him being American and HBOs old golden boy.

One half decent win and he could get pushed by HBO for a Martinez fight.

One of my favourite fighters. Really didn't think he would make a
comeback though, after watching the 360 episodes with his family on it.
As someone else has said, this won't be for the money. If he can make
middleweight safely he is still better than everyone bar Martinez.

Seems a nice guy, I'll probably get stick for saying this, but I just knew him and Kessler would both be back once their featured exits from the Super Six were beyond question of them both being called back to partake further in the competition.

Sorry, but both their comebacks from 'retirement' were all to more than predictable.
