Taylor (28-4-1, 17 KOs), of Little Rock, Ark., will enter the ring for the first time following a 26-month layoff when he faces some dude named Jesse Nicklow,I never heard of the guy.Who knows about him?Well the fight is at 160,Jermain has had two years to recover from getting KTFO numerous times, lets see what hes got left.... happy:good:|:bart
I'm glad he's coming back and at 160. This may be a good money fight for sergio if JT can work his way back up and regain his old form. I don't see it, but it may bridge the gap at middleweight currently, and give these euro guys like pirog and golo someone to fight with a name since maravilla won't fight either of them.
Nicklow is actually better than I was expecting the TBA slot to be filled by.. :think Good for Jermain. Hopefully he can come hungry and put together something impressive. A very dominant win and/or stoppage could speak to Bad Intentions still having something left to offer. If he loses, no shame. He'll get props just for attempting the comeback. Jessie is a tough journeyman. (and barely even a journeyman, since he's only lost twice...most recently on ShoBox to then-rising prospect Fernando Guerrero a couple years back).
He should stay retired. His reflexes will only have gotten worse and he's in for either a bunch of meaningless and sort of embarrassing fights for someone who was where he was or he's in for more beatings. He should leave it alone.
This:good:good I've said it before and will say it again. Jermain Taylor is a shot fighter and if he continues to get into the ring, he'll wind up like Meldrick Taylor. Before long he won't know what day it is, or even care.
His bubble was burst somewhat...but I don't really believe he looked like a shot fighter against Froch and Abraham..Just a fighter with flaws they could exploit. Against Froch especially I thought he looked pretty good for extended periods of time. I like JT and wish him the best..which won't be p4p HBO darling status but he will probably be top contender again at least for a little while.
If Taylor couldn't win against Froch, he should stay retired or take a few easy milk money fights, then retire.
Maybe his cookie jar is getting a little low.Other than money I have no idea why he's coming back. He's shot and everyone knows it.
He still has enough in the tank to challenge Martinez, but the proof of that will be there for all to see, you certainly don't have to take my word for it.
