Most sensible thing anyones said in ages.

This is why I don't get all the Froch hate.

We should respect fighters that only want to take on the best!

Unlike Grant, Taylor took the unified champion 24 rounds and won the majority of them. Taylor is an accomplished fighter with a much respectable depth of fighter on his record.

What more can we expect from a man than to fight the best and give his all? Sure he won some and lost some, but that does not make him overrated, this is competetive boxing at its finest tier, and Jermain fought them all.

Ali lost to an ATG. Hopkins got a draw in his first championship fight fighting in the mountains of Ecuador.

How the **** does that compare to getting an SD over a blown up Cory Spinks? :rofl

Goddamn you ****ers say some stupid ****.

Apparently. Taylor gets a ridiculous amount of slack, when it is OBVIOUS that he just was never that good - that HBO pushed him to the top, got him gifts that advanced his career and when he finally had to take on top guys in their prime at his weight, he was exposed.

Biggest HBO fraud since Michael Grant. Worse, in that they were able to fool the boxing public for longer.

I don't think he's great! Atall! That's your problem. Who gives a **** that he got 2 'gifts' againts BHop, when in reality they were very, very close, could have gone either way. The fact is he fights ANYONE. That's why i'm a fan of his, he constanstly wants to prove himself, even if he isn't elite and loses to the best. If you can't respect that then I have nothing else to say.

a great fighter but not effective at all above 160 but the thing I always hated about him was his Larry Holmes left low look, everyone that beat him exploited that low left

  9. couldn't agree more with that, though am not a massive taylor fan, the man has never backed down from a fight and for that he will always have my respect.

Zakman is for the most part a quality poster, but he's way out of line here. He's able to support a crack riddled quitter in Charles Zelenoff, but not a top tier, humble family man who never ducked a challenge.:patsch

Yet another connected American, HBO/Showtime darling who gets a title fight after 20 odd bouts.
Its so gratifying when it goes wrong, though i wish Taylor all the best after his KO.
