I can see it now, they could name it Chavez-Taylor 3, the middleweight version. Taylor wants to revenge for Chavez beating Taylor, so Taylor goes after Chavez
Hate to see him get hurt again but gotta pay the bills right? Just keep him away from white boys he seems to have bad luck with them. Especially in rd12
The same guy who says that Kirkland does not have a Glass Jaw now says that Taylor has been flattened in three of his four last losses because of conditioning rather than the obvious answer which is, he has no Chin. atsch Still sucking the BBC, are we?:rofl:rofl
Wow great post, Very creative and totally original! We were all anxiously awaiting your next contribution because we knew it would be insightful and witty, thanks for delivering as always! Gotta run have to show this to my friends and family so they too can witness your talents, would read again!
Yep. That's the most likely candidate. Appreciate it. We don't get too many fights here(cue Mississippi jokes). Last notable one I can think of was a Peterson brother card when they were still prospects. Campbell/Guzman was gonna be at the Beau....
And again... It's going to be scary when Jermain is ready to step up again and fights a puncher. I'll be cheering for him, though. I wouldn't be very worried if he fights Chavez (officials aside).
Taylor always seemed like a genuinely good guy; I almost felt bad for cheering when Pavlik knocked him out. Almost. If he still wants to fight and make some cash, I'm fine with that. However, I woud be a little nervous about watching him against a big banger.
I was a huge Taylor fan. I can't see him making it back to the top but I think there's a lot of guys out there that he can still make fools of.
Thanks dude! Really hoping Taylor looks good! MUst remember, he was beating Froch until he got KO'd. Even in a loss, that still says something about him.
Wish Jermain Taylor all the best. One of the nicest guys in Boxing. I don't think he was ever as good as he was billed.
I think he looked good that night but as much as I like Taylor, I think his performance against Froch has become exaggerated. Taylor would probably have won on points without the stoppage but it was only a one sided fight in the early stages. As it developed, Froch did start to win some rounds. A lot of people seem to argue that Taylor was miles ahead and then he got caught and stopped. I think Froch had started to turn the fight around for a few rounds prior to the knockout, was looking fresh and doing damage, so it wasn't some fluke victory as some claim. Still a very good performance from Taylor but over the years, I think it's been exaggerated a bit.
Love Taylor, but he is a guy whose rise scares you a bit. He suffered some brutal KOs at the upper level. Mostly in fights where he was doing well or winning. He just shut off. Maybe it was all in his conditioning? Maybe he just doesn't have it? You never know. The journeyman he fought recently had his face pretty swollen. I wish him luck, but his return is a mixed bag.
