Ozell knows him well from the amateur days and he has that workman attitude himself the way he took Jermain to work under the sun, layin bricks and all, now hitting giant tires... But he is not gonna do it by way of preparing himself better physically-psychologically ( strength, stamina, willpower) - he needs to see the whole perspective of each 3 minutes so that he can pace himself better - why doesn't Jermain throw that 3 punch combination, clinch more to get a breather, push him off and move more around the ring? I don't think JT is longsighted or clear-sighted under that pressure so he'll probably get very tired again.

No offense, but STAMINA- He said he punched himself out after 2 FREAKIN rounds!! Are you serious. He went to camp for 6-8 weeks and that was his theory??Perhaps he got hit by a real man and not one of those midgets he was fighting! Maybe Kelly got a little cute in round 2- After that Jermain wins 1 maybe 2 rounds> Kelly outpunched and outlanded him by 20-25 punches per round. Jermain must control the tempo and BOX BOX BOX! But Kelly will do the same thing only better KO Pavlik Round 6!

haha Jermaine does look like he is being extra carefull with that hammer. Aren't you supposed to be more choked up than that when doing this drill too?

This is a good fight worthy of a rematch. I think JT may be a little damaged and a immediate rematch would make it more difficult. He needs to keep Pavlik at the end of his jab and use his clumsy legs to go side to side and make Pavlik miss and counter with his left hook.

Ive lifted weights all my life, whilst training boxing and submission wrestling, up until 4 years ago when i started working on the roads, and ive got to say im fitter and more physically stronger than ive ever been, Jermain Taylor is using old school methods and they are the best! If he dont get no fitter after 30min swinging the hammer he never will!

i realy like taylor...but of course i want pavlik to win...to me as i said before taylor took that lost bad and mentally is not ready for this fight...i think taylor fought (again as i said before ) the best i have seen him fight in along time ..but to show you that pavlik got under his skin by winning is the way he is working out now...just like kelly which proves to me how this is bothering him.. kelly has always trained this way and taylor has not.. i think the change will also hurt taylor.. and by the way he is not doing that sledge hammer thing right. i realy wished taylor would of waited alittle while longer be fore taking on a rematch.. pavlik will win by ko by 2nd or 3rd round... taylor will be trying tooo hard

    True,

That's not how you train with a sledge hammer / heavy tire...

You're supposed to use the sledge like a baseball bat, to developp and straigthen your hip rotation.

See the way Pavlik throws his right hand, straight with all his weight in it. We'll that's how you train to throw them bombs.

How do you know Taylor has never done this before?

And you judge his sledge hammer skills because of this pic? You can't judge the man because of a ****ing picture. Show me a video and then we can talk. Taylor is a pro and he got good people in his camp so I think it's pretty safe to say that I'm sure Taylor knows exactly what he's doing.

Win lose or draw...Taylor is working hard in the gym and will be in great shape come fight night. I just think it's funny how a lot of Pavlik fans have so much inside info about Taylor's training routines.:D They know for sure Taylor has NEVER used the sledge hammer before (I have know idea how they know this) and he also doesn't know how to use the sledge hammer and that's based on a ****ing picture.
