actually Taylor is not a good style for Toney, but Toney still takes him to school.

its not a blowout tho. Taylor can pose problems for Toney

If Taylor is pumping his jab, he can make it very competitive. I would favour Toney in this one, though, if Toney is at his absolute best that night.

I think that Taylor would be hard style match up for Toney. He is brilliant with his outside fighting time to time and if he could keep it an outside fight, he could even win.
However I don’t think he is capable to sticking with that game plan and keep Toney outside entire fight.

So I take Toney by KO after a hard fight

Toney wins via a schooling and a 7th round KO.

Toney was always inconsitant but assuming they're both on form, Toney thrashes him, it wouldn't even be close. Different class. Taylor's robotic.

Toney would make Taylor miss all day just like Hopkins did.. only difference is Toney wouldn't be afraid to counter all those big swings and misses by Jermain as he'd constantly fill the gaps in with expertly timed counters. That's something that Bernard was afraid to do.

Toney schools Taylor and knocks him the hell out between 6 to 8 rounds.

Agreed, except I don't think Bernard was afraid, just too conservative.

I think it was a mix between being too conservative and also being intimidated by Taylor's strength and power. With all those misses by Jermain you would have thought that an expert counterpuncher like Hops would put more stock into making Taylor pay for his misses, but I think the threat of a homerun punch kept him from it.

Toney without a doubt........I also beleive an in shape Toney would have beaten Hopkins at 168 .......while Toney can be boring to some he has tremendous skill and an iron chin
