How would he have fared against either of them had he not fought Abraham in the Super 6? Would he have a chance to beat either one?

I think he would give Ward all he wanted and have a legit chance of beating him. I think Dirrell's speed and movement would be tough for him to overcome, but it would be competitive.

I respect Taylor but against Ward or Dirrell at 168 he would have no advantage at all except experience. I can't see him beating them. He would have went the distance though.

Ward and Dirrell have a lot to prove before I would pick them against a prime Taylor. I would pick Taylor to ud both of them.

Both would beat Taylor: Bigger, younger, better conditioned. Watch Froch v Taylor again. See how small Taylor looked compared with Froch. Taylor couldn't hang at 168.

I think he's equally as fast as Ward, and on the inside he's probably a bit stronger (not stronger as in fighting, but physically stronger), I also think he's got more power than Ward.

I agree in terms of Dirrell, which is why I would favor Dirrell to beat him, but I also agree he would go the distance.

If Hopkins, Spinks, and Wright couldn't clearly outbox him, I dont know that either of the young bucks could. That being said, Dirrell's hand speed would be tough (when mixed with his length, power, legs, etc). JT proved against Hopkins hes not going to get bullied, pushed around, and done dirty. I like him against Ward, not as much against Dirrell.

Indeed! And that's why he's back at MW.

He can't hang with the bangers at 168, but Ward and/or Dirrell don't really fit that mold.

Watch the fight. Use your eyes. Taylor looked like a MW, Froch a SMW. Not to shatter your illusion of reality, but Boxrec and other comparable internet sites are not necessarily accurate. If you watch the fight, Taylor looked like the significantly smaller fighter. Why, because he's a f*cking MW!

Dominated by both, possible mercy stoppage against Ward.

Agree, he was beating that ass. But he's a MW. Guys like Ward and Dirrell, who have excellent speed and other assets that Froch most definitely lacks, would exploit Taylor's size, as well as his tendency to fade. Froch got a gift.

Actually I was just looking at the fight again I thought they were pretty close the first time I watched it. But Froch did look a little bigger not much though. Still Taylor has fought well against some big fighters Hopkins, Froch and Pavlik. He proved himself to be a better fighter then Dirrell has shown so far and even Ward.
