Supposing they were to meet again in their current state of abilities at a catchweight of 170 or the like. Has Hopkins changed anything in his gameplan to get a clearer decision this time? Does Taylor get the clear decision this time? Same results?

Bernard Hopkins would win clearly, cause at 170lb he is more comfortable and has more energy thought the fight.

    Hopkins wins by UD12

Depends, Hopkins looks better at the higher weights than he had been draining himself at Middleweight near the end of his reign. Still, Taylor has improved a great deal also and would be a very rough fight still.

I am not sure this would be that interesting now for me. When guys fight two times it usually answers a lot of questions. I guess it would be interesting, but in a way Taylor being knocked out by Pavlik makes him the shopworn fighter. I would have to pick Taylor in this again. I think he would use his fast hands and win a SD.

Well since JT has lost almost all his marketability & HBO is no longer sucking his... Hopkins wont get screwed in a decisive fight & would win UD 12.

I never rated Taylor that highly but props to him for making those fights close enough for HBO to gift him the decisions.

The first one was a very clear robbery, no one will ever convince me otherwise. The 2nd fight was a bit of a disapointment, Taylor fought a better tactical fight but even though Hops knew a close fight wouldnt go his way, he knew he was better then Jermain he didnt push the fight enough. Me thinks by that stage Nard was having a bit of trouble with the weight, thats why I thought he would beat Tarver when he moved up because it would suit his body better at this stage in his career.

Close fight still...Nard has dipped ever so slightly...Taylor has stayed about the same but maybe his confidence is still a little down. If you dont make Hopkins work, which the poor stamina of Taylor would prevent him doing, he will outthink you.
If all is fair I pick Hopkins by a split, majority or razor thin decision where he probably deserved it by more.

I got Hopkins this time out. He's looked great at 170-175. He was struggling to get down to make 160 by the time he was fighting Taylor, but he's done good at the Light Heavyweight division.

Taylor wins again; Hopkins 'out-strategizes' himself.

I wouldn't say Hopkins was weight drained at 160. I think he aware of taylors power. Hopkins is one of my favorites but I think they would always give decision to Taylor because he is more active. Just like when Pacquiao fights marquez

Taylor has too much speed and hopkins has gotten slower since the last fights they had... It would be another close fight, I wouldn't be surprised is Taylor won

I thought JT beat Hop fairly so I would pick him to nick another decision from Hop. Wouldnt be too surprised if a close decision went in Hopkins' favour though.

I think Hopkins can beat Taylor, esp. the one who trains like he did for his last fight, but he should fight Jones for old times sake.

Either way it would be a loss for American boxing. Hopkins just destroyed one American in Pavlik and its looking darker and darker.

If Hopkins wins, so what? Then its 2-1 and that's such a muddled result that noone can use that. If Taylor wins, so what he already did that twice? If Taylor loses it will not help Hopkins because it will still be 1-2, but it will seriously hurt Taylor (like it did Pavlik) in his way to more glory.

Its on of the worst possible match-up from an American point of view.
